Veg time and pot size in coco

What's up RIU. I'm about to do my first coco run and was wondering if 3 gallon pots would be good for a 30 day Veg ? Or should I go smaller? I'll be running strains that flower in 10 weeks and some that flower in 7 weeks. All clones. Thanks

Also have alot of 5 gallon pots

3 gallon should be fine just get a good wet dry cycle going so your roots really develop during the first 30 days. It will make things go so much more smoothly in the flowering cycle.

Believe me 2 gal is fine, what is your grow space size?
Make sure which size you use to do not overwater you want the roots to totally fill the pot as you start veg.

Well u used to put 16 3 gallon pots of soil under a 1000w in a 4x4 space

This is what I have been doing. 16 per 1000w in 4x4 to fill the canopy.

I have never used 3 gallon with 16 plants in soil. I assume you meant to say you did that.

Man I'm sorry I was a lil confused/stoned lol with the 30 day veg i usually only end up being able to fit 9 3gallon pots under each 1000 using foxfarm soil. But there are 16 3 gallon pots under that 1k in that pic. But in my defense they didn't have that much vegg time and I really thought they would be trash since I took clones off my last grow right before every plant I had threw balls. Lol turns out you can top way to much and stress your the shit out of your plants. Lol lesson learned.

If your coco is light enough, overwatering isn't a issue. I use Tupur and never seen a droopy left, from overwatering.

Just wondering with Royal Gold, dis you have to soak/wash out of the bag and did younadd extra perlite or not since it has perlite already?

Nope. I use it straight out of the bag - I don't even wet it, before I plant. I just put some rooted clones in solo cups. I cut a couple slits off the bottom edge, filled about half way with tupur, placed clone in the center then filled the rest & packed just enough to hold up straight, water till some runs out of the slits - done!

I'm no pro!

Tupur has been a big upgrade for me! Never done hydro but I think it's easier than my soil grows. I've not overwatered once, in fact, I'm watering three times per light cycle! I've been playing with some cal-mag and have seen better results, but have been following canna.com's light feeding schedule with a couple nice harvests!

dude, I did a lot of defo and supercropping and yes it slowed my growth but doing a vertical grow I was able to veg for the amt of time needed. Then I had to start supercropping in flower as them bitches started growing above the screen and to the top of the tent. My next grow I will only veg to 3/4 of the screen.

No matter what medium u use, I gallon per month of grow.
You are really pushing the boundaries with 16 plants under one 1000w fixture, more like 6 would work and if they turn out to be big (tall) plants, unless u have a lot of ceiling height, u will be fucked.
