Veg time/ pot size??? 4x4 tent Ideas +rep

Planning a 4 plant grow after this harvest... I have a 4x4 tent running a 600hps. I was planning for 4 52l pots. But If I'm vegging for a shorter time than last, say 2 weeks compared to last veg of 5 weeks, Will I need all that root space??? I am on a budget so I don't want to be using excessive medium. Also Numbers are an issue, 4 Is max, so they needa be fairly large. so If anyone has seen another 4x4 tent using 4 nice size plants I'd love to see so I could Get some setup ideas. I have a Secret Jardin 4x4 tent with a 600 and flower 6 plants under a Blockbuster cooled hood. It depends on the strain's your using on the amount of root space and stretch the plants need and when you need to switch from veg to flower. The Sogouda I have is more of a haze phenotype so I top them a few times and flip to 12/12 at about 16 to 18 inches and end up with with 4 ft plus multi cola plants. If grow Bubblegum I can veg longer because of not as much stretch at 12/12 and can veg to 30 inches. The Sour bubble I grow stays short but likes alot of root space so research the needs of the strain you pick and go from that. Bigger roots equal bigger buds and a happy plant plus you won't have to water as often.

Ii also have a 4x4 tent with a 4x4 flood& drain table 40 gal rez.my table is 1 inch above the rez.light is a 1000watt block buster hood air cool.16 DJ short blue moonshine in 3gal smart pots.topping helps but spend as much time as you can training them.
