Veg to Flower Q&A

Good news everyone!GoodNewsEveryone.jpg

I believe my plants are ready for flower(I really have no idea). Most are showing some sort of pre flower(pistil/sack I believe) similar to this picture below. I know it say female, but here's where things get kinda weird I guess.female2.jpg

I have a total of 7 plants in my 4x4. 1 that is not in a fabric pot(in orange plastic cont.) Is showing visible pistils. Mind you that this plant is a couple weeks behind the 4 in fab pots. I'm literally shook haha. Just want some input from the community.

Plastic container plants/@ 5 weeks
Fabric pot plants/@ 7-8ish weeks

So what I plan on doing is flipping to 12/12 and hoping for them to "force" sex. No idea really on what I'm doing just kinda free handing at this point. Hence me needing help from the community. Here is a picture of the grow.Screenshot_20190315-123408.jpg theyre looking a little sad since I added a 400w hps. They were doing fine yesterday but I do believe it's due to the cold temps at night(cold roots). Tent gets 69-65F which is terrible I know.

Specs for reference.
Medium/50FFHF & 50COCO
Lighting/315CMH & 400W HPS
Nutes/Canna Vega, Cannazyme, BIO Flores

Another question is when to start introducing bloom nutes. Sorry for so much questions everyone. Just trying to learn, and I know I could easily look around the threads for help but I prefer a direct approach.

Thanks in advance,

It's normal for them to show preflowers after about a month, maybe a little more.

Start your bloom nutes after they stretch out, 2-3 weeks. That'll give them enough N stores to make the trip, unless they are a longer sativa, then just add a little N to your bloom for another week or 2.

This is just my opinion and the way I do it.

Sweet. Thanks for the info guys! I don't know why they're limping? They got watered 3 days ago, the soil is a bit moist. I'm guessing since the new light, they're taking more nutes & water. The leaves are definitely evaporating more water and taking in whatever moisture is in the soil. More light= more water+nutes.

I feed mine a half dose of Big Bud a week before I flip to 12/12 then the other half at the flip. I don't understand why people say not to give bloom nutes until the stretch is over. The plants feed the most during the stretch and need lots of all nutrients to help with the growth spurt and setting up bud sites.

If you are growing in nutrient rich soil then there already may be quite a bit of P and K already there but I grow in soilless ProMix HP so they only get what I give them. Same when I do DWC.

If you have low humidity be careful not to overfeed as it's a lot easier to get nute burn or toxic salts buildup at a low RH. With good strong light they can handle more. Extra CO2 is great to have during the stretch so burn a candle in there to boost that up tho it won't make much difference if the exhaust fan is running all the time.

I don’t grow in a tent anymore so those humidifiers and ac unit make me nervous but your plants look alright I’d like to see more lush green but that could be the hps
