vegging under t5's

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Yes 2 sets of 8 lights each is 4 feet long so total of 16 4 foot T-5's.T5 and T8 lights grow alot different.I use T8 for vegging my clones and the T5 double the growth.I take my clones at about 1-2 inches big veg for about 10-12 days til they are about 14-16 inches tall and fat then flip to 12/12 for 5-6 weeks then harvest. The pic below shows the clones at day 10 from the day they were cut and they are under T8's just getting ready for 3 400 watt hps.he last pics show some of the wet buds( was over 90 oz) and then a picture of a few jars of cured buds I saved for myself.mmmm

Hmmm. I do all my vegging under a t-5 light, with a few of the (43) watt cfls. and i got 1.5 OZ's per plant last grow. This crop will most likely give me much more. I love this lighting for veg time. Low heat, great growth. One I put them into flower, then I break out the 400 watt HPS light.

Here is a photo of plants that are under only (6) 43 watt soft white CFLS, and a single bulb t-5. These plants are only 19 days old at this time.

I get good results with system. And the Light bill is next to nothing until I flower.

does any one have pictures of vegged plants under t5,s,im some what skeptical that it is good for the entire veg.i mean i believe it does the job,but i saw a huge differance from takeing plants under t8 and putting them under 600 hps.but t8.s are not t5,s.psuedenom do you have pics after 6 weks veg what was their height after 6 weeks, rabbit how many did you veg and for how long.thanks for all the replies.so sketch you used them for three weeks before changeing is that correct.

so it seems that t5s are much better then t8s but not as good as hps, depending on heat.because 8 t5s is 430 watts.but it was good to see the input on the subject, thanks all.

I'm on a budget so I'm doing it all- root/veg/bloom with one 8-bulb t5 setup. 1/2 the bulbs are for veg, the other half for bloom. bulbs are four footers. Using a h2o farm, started with 8plants but lost one to nute burn.

All in all, this being my first time, I'd say that things are going pretty well. The plants have a huge range in size though. The big ones are at 18" and the smaller ones are around 12". But they're all nice and green from top to bottom! Started in late May.

ok. here's how you see if it works well (which it does fine for veg). just do it. try it. experiment. grow. attempt. yada yada. go to your local grow shop and ask them about it. they'll tell you t5's are perfect for veg. if they don't, then they are trying to sell you something and they are not worth the time. go to a different grow shop.
