Hello all!
I have been doing a lot of research on this subject over the last week and there seems to be alot of confusion. Many people talk about the benefits of "acoustic" ducting but seem to be talking about insulated ducting.
ACOUSTIC DUCTING SEEMS TO BE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THE USA OR CANADA. I cannot find anything but 'insulated ducting' that is used for preventing heat loss as shown:
http://www.homedepot.ca/product/flexible-insulated-duct-residential-4-inchx10-foot/963988
It is insulated on the outside and is not designed for sound mitigation.
THE ONLY REAL ACOUSTIC DUCTING I CAN FIND IS IN THE UK OR AUS....now I understand that the insulated ducting would still be better than simple flexible duct work but does anyone know if there
is a way to get REAL acoustic ducting in north america??
Appreciate any input, I am trying to get the best bang for my buck and would much prefer proper acoustic ducting over thermally insulated ducting
Cheers!
