Ventilation for my 400watt HPS..Pics

I'm finally putting the final pieces of my grow tent together. I have some pictures at the bottom with what im working with.

Inside this 2'8"x2'8"x5'3" space, there is a 400watt hps w/cool-tube, 4" inline fan 170cfm.

I have the fan sucking out the hot air from the cool-tube through the ducting.
I have the fan outside of the tent for now.
It seems a little bulky, and so that I can figure out the temp inside the tent with the ventilation going.

WithOUT ventilation, my tent gets 85F. Currently testing it out so we'll see how it goes.

Is this a good set up from the info I provided?

Thanks for the help/support guys:blsmoke:

looks good - what are you doing for odor control?
I have a big ass carbon filter, BUT its big.
Woowww DESERTRAT..You gave me a great Idea..

Ill leave the fan outside my tent and CONNECT that baby to my carbon filter.
+rep

If I exhaust the hot air through my fan, through my filter, will I be able to put it out of my window (its behind it) without being all obvious?

I guess ill just have to get a cheap inline fan to suck air from my room.

Hey mystery, I know bugger all about the growing things but I got experience working with extraction/filtration.
may I suggest setting up your extraction like this...

____________In Grow Area__________________ ___Outside____
[CARBON FILTER]->-[COOLTUBE]->-[BLOWER]->------>-[WINDOW]

try to keep the bends in the Ducting to a minimum this will keep the speed of the air higher (i.e think of a race car going round a sweeping corner or a hairpin bend?)
I hope this helps or gives ideas
