Ventilation Questions

I'm building a small grow box for 1 maybe 2 plants, I wondering what kind of ventilation I should use my dimensions are 24inchs tall and 15inchs wide so it really isn't that big I have 2 or three small pc fans that I used in my last grow I was wondering if these would work or not.

Depends what the cfm rating of the fans are. I'd suggest using 120mm fans if possible. Higher air flow and much quieter :) I'm not sure if pc fans would be able to put out enough pressure to make use of a carbon filter, but that' just an idle thought, i'e never tried or looked into that.

Pc fans & booster fans are great for a small box,,,,if you arent planning on using a carbon filter and dont mind ur house smelling like bud 24/7, just because its only 1 or 2 plants doesnt mean they wont stink the joint up.

Ideally you want to researh what carbon filter you would require for the space and number of plants, and then match the fan to the carbon filter, while taking into account the size of your grow box and how the fan in question will work with regard to the rate of air exchange. I'm afraid i can't be much more help than that, i simply bought a ventilation kit and it did the job fine so i never had to research any further into buying new and more appropriate equiptment.

For your space though, it might potentially make more sense to go with low power fans such as computer fans, and then an ozone generator. But again, not something i've atually looked into much.

What do you think would be a good sized fan that I could still use a carbon filter with?
A small 4" inline fan(not booster fan) with a small 4" filter will kill any odor and keep the air moving. Air movement keeps temps down and decreases the chances of powdery mildew. No such thing as too much exhaust in my book, get pm once and I guarantee you that you will upgrade your exhaust if you decide to use pc fans or a booster fan

If your exhaust is sufficient then you don't need any intake so long as there are vents to allow air in. The negative pressure will do the job for you.
