will a carbon filter . filter all the bugs out from out side if I sucked cold air inside and put it into the carbon filter . I would be forced to run the filter in reverse to achieve this cant put the filter out side . so suck air into the filter instead of sucking it out . .so cold air would be coming out of the filter . any ideas how to achieve this with out any chances of bugs ? up for other options my cfm blower is 1200 cfm . put on a automatic thermostat and dehumidifier checker . if its higher humidity . out side the unit will not turn on . thinking there is no way even the smallest bug could escape a carbon filter .

You want to filter the incoming air? If that is what your doing then I would just use a regular pleated filter of some sort. But yes a charcoal filter would filter and bugs out I would think.

it wont work . the filter would have to be out side . all the happened the filter got ice cold but the cooling was not efficient . so I what I did put a piece of filter over the hose . the pre filter from the carbon filter . now its cooling well . this is only for the winter any ways no bugs . and budley you must be like me . no sleep ever !

Why a carbon filter on the intake? If you're worried about bugs, just use a regular filter. Much cheaper. Use the paper type furnace filter to stop bugs.

Sealed light trap box that you put a HEAPA furnace filter in......That's how it's done at scale.

Smaller, you might look at this.
