Venting and cooling a 600w HPS in a 5x5x7 room

Ive been looking for info on this but I cant find what i was lookin for. will i need a centrifugal inline fan to cool my light off? I planned on using a passive intake and a filter to an inline fan then thru the light and out of the tent. it looks like its gonna be kinda expensive . what will i need? what do you guys have setup?

You've got the right idea. Carbon filter>inline fan>hood>out of room. Wouldn't use a centrifugal fan though. Get a inline fan. Can max fans is all I use.

Look into sealed rooms before you commit on a passive air room.

would a 4" inline fan and filter work for cooling my light?

Id go 6. You can always slow it down.

also, if i get a 400cfm inline fan im gonna need a filter that is greater than 400cfm?

Most carbon filters will tell you what fan will work with it. Can filters are the way to go.

You are cooling 5x5x7 = 175 cubic feet.

I use Max Can Fans and am very pleased with them. You can begin with a passive intake and switch over if you seal your room but just beginning I'd go passive intake. I use Phresh filters and they work nicely as well.

Essentially you decide how many air exchanges you want based on the cubic foot rating of your fan. For example a 175 CFM fan should allow you to theoretically exchange your entire volume of air every minute.
