Venting Grow Box Air

Hey guys, this is my first post on Rollitup...

I've always loved to have a smoke n now i'm deciding to have a tiny setup in my room. Now i know its gonna stink when flowering so i want to reduce this some how..

My Box is in my top shelf of my cupboard, so i had the odea i could use my 4inch fan and vent the exhaust air into the roof. There is no attic in my house just a huge roof with heaps of space. And no one goes up there its too dangerous... Is it alright to just have all that bud air just in there or will this creat mould which could be dangerous to the roof???

The other option that i think could work, is have the vent go straight down through the floor in the corner of the cupboard. this would be really stealth and as the house is about 1 foot off the ground where my room is it would be able to be done.

My room by the way is right at the end of the house near the laundry so there's constantly washing machines and dryers on and what not so i think the small fan would be fine...

Thanks guys, ll advice would be muchly appreciated

To the roof are should be better if the roof area is properly vented. Going down to the crawl space will alow the odor to permeate the whole house over a period of time. On another note - some strains are just as stinky in the veg phase as in the flower phase, especially if you are cloning and have mother plants around.

A house that has no attic, and sits one foot off the ground. Your house sounds like a mobile home, right?
I wouldn't grow in a mobile home at all.
The walls are thin as hell, you'll stink up that entire house no matter what kind of venting you have.

its a bit dark to take photos now, got homw from uni late,, had dinner n shit n forgot to take the pics..

but its a normal house, wetherboard on the outside not brick and the floor's are polished timber, theres no concrete slab or anthing so i could drill out a whole through the floor and run the vent piping out the bottom of the house......

the attic would have too much built up "bud air" which would make the house smell too..

i'm only after 2 or 3 personal plants... and they're only able to grow a foot or so.. its gonna be in my cupboard.

It's not like the house is on stilts lol

but you can squeeze under one side of it.. so thats what my plans are.. is this a good option?? cheers

there are some strains that stay small, there are some strains that dont have a high smell, there are so many of em so, my suggestion would be to possibly start with some bagseed from some regs or swag that you smoked and just tie them down.

you dont want to go spending money on selective strains over the internet when you yourself dont know everything there is to know about growing, so youll waste money on plants that will die bc of newbie grower tactics. secondly, RIU is a great place no matter how many threads you post, read, or study the family at RIU will always be here for all your plant problems and 9/10 times they have something really beneficial to releave your concerns.

get some good genetics that are easy to grow (kush, northern lights, skunk etc)you will be much better off... bag seed genetics are all screwed might be good might not i rather spend 40- 50 dollars on good genetics than getting some bunk seeds to put time n effort into...but maybe thats just my view on things
