Venting Hot Air (Attic or Floor)

I was just wondering, Im going to exiting the heat from my two lamp hoods with a high powered fan, would it not be easier to exit your hot air into the floor rather than the attic? I have heard someone say you can cause mold and rot in your attic by venting it there, and it seems like a real pain in the ass to find a stud to hang my big ass CFM fan on. What you guys think? Im still considering drilling a hole in the attic and just exit there, because the floor wood may be a little to thick for a drill. :wall:

Hot air rises so it will be much easier and more efficient to vent through the attic. Also, it is very easy to build a structure to attach the CFM Fan. I just used a 2x4 and attached it to a few rafters. I use it to outtake air and in winter time I unhook the HVAC line thats hooked in to my air unit and run a new line from the Fan to the vent. By exhausting the hot air through the top into the cold attic and blowing it back down into the grow room it recycles the air and cools it.

No one has a picture of their fan mount to the attic, I know some 2x4's will help I allready have some and some angle iron. I just need an Idea of what it should look like. I mean this fan is heavy as hell
