Which is best or which do you like best, vermiculite or perlite, in your opinion and, or, experience?
Vermiculite vs. perlite? Which is better. Kinda like a vote, in your opinion?

they are virtually equal man. they are meant to do the same thing. only dif is vermiculite has the ability to hold more moisture and also is known to contain trace minerals. the only REAL advantage or disadvantage is that perlite is more noticeable than vermiculite in an outdoor setting. basically what it comes down too, is for more water drainage use perlite to retain more water us vermiculite OR if outdoors and want to blend in use vermiculite or stand out with perlite. up too really which ever you want to use. its also not a bad idea to use both. kinda like mentioned above but it really dont make and dif if you use vermic in the bottom and perlite in the top, really all that does is takes more time with no added benefits, since i dont have much time in the first place i choose not to waste it.
i always use 50% mix of the two, one thing i will not do is use 50% verm again.............

I feel like the verm is better for holding water and the perlite is better for airation

Good call man, you always seem to be on top ofshit. What Iwanna know is where can I getta huge bag of verm for five bucks like I used to in the insulation isle at home depo and menards.

okay i just want everyone to know it was more of a vote than anything , i already know all about perlite and vermiculit. but thank you for alll replys 
@inerveg i like your mix im going to do something(well the opposite thing but) like that next year. im growing outdoors and this year i did probly 30% vermiculite mix and its very very good and all but i did not anticipate allll of this florida rain, its raining every day , alottt, so im going to do a mix like 30% verm in the top half for the water holding and a 30% parlite mix the bottem half so it will drain better so my lower roots arent sitting in to much water (when i say the 30% per half i mean like the 30% verm and 70% soil for the top half and for the bottem 30% parlite and 70% soil for the bottom half) i was thinking about it and that just sounds like a perfect ratio for my situation. and my 30% vem mix this year is doing suprisingly good even with all this rain
@ wheezer id agree with you on that vermiculite holds added liquid nutes way better then perlite would , just if you think about it it makes sense and i can say my plants are looking and doing AMAZING even with the somtime poor conditions of my weather. real good florida sun when it is out though

I cant understand why people have this mindset, perlite is GREAT for outdoor grows, just add a small layer of native soil on top and boom perilite problem gone, nobody will be able to see it.

haha there both good it just depends on your situation , i personally feel there both critical for my grow and i would use them both, i couldnt see why anyone would have a bad opinion of either of them unless you use them wrong, there both soil amendments that are used in growing all kinds of plants i cant see why anyone would be really against using one or the other vote guys personaly i use more vermiculite them perlite so id go with it being my favorite
