Vero 29 Thermal Epoxy Or Drill/Tap?

@CobKits @BobCajun @ttystikk @BM9AGS @MeGaKiLlErMaN Would I be able to just thermal epoxy my vero 29 to the arctic alpine heat sink or should I use regular TIM and just drill and tap some holes for it? Can you give me an explanation as to what is better and why? Thanks in advance BB

thermal epoxy isnt as efficient as your standard TIM. But it will work just fine if you dont want to drill holes.

I dont have any issues with doing that , I'm just curious to know if the epoxy would work as well as a real TIM would.

its a bit of a compromise. depends how hard you are running the chip and if you ever want to repurpose it without the cooler

a thickish layer of regular TIM + kapton tape works

also you can drill and use self tappers

ill bet you can get away with mounting a vero with only 2 screws, all the citis mount that way
