Vertical Cage Setup

Has anyone here tried growing verticaly using a cage/fence? Using the cage to train the plants to grow through it? I've seen glimpses online, here and there but not much.
There's a guy on youtube with his cage of green, this is kind of what i'm trying to do.
I want to use a chain link fence, in a circle with the light in the center. I will use at least a 600w, and i will put a fan under it.
For this first run, i'm rather budget limited, so i cannot have a controlled environment, i will just have some fresh air coming in. I will be using a soil mix, but next time i will try some kind of a bucket setup.
Am i missing something important? Can anyone help this newb? Will this work out? How tall should i veg the girls?

It is a pretty easy task, but I would recommend using one of the inexpensive Co2 generation methods. Like baking soda and vinegar. Just my opinion lol What would the dimensions be of the closet or room space?

That's the thing, i'm just using the basement space. I don't have anything walled off or separated. I know that i will need to once i start flowering.
I was going to wall off a small space with plastic for the moms and veg. Am i better off making a flower room instead?
Thanks.

You don't need anything as beefy as chain link. The 6" metal mesh for concrete slabs is cheaper, lighter and easier to work with. Look for one of Health Robinson's vertical grows. For one, he made six panels linked to form a hexagon, much like a room divider.

Haha i thought the ic mag grow is funny :).
What i'm thinking to do is something kind of what is in a picture of the '2000w vertical 6 lb' thread. It is on the very right of the inspirational pictures, the one with a circle of fencing. Sorry i'm using a mobile now and can't link it. But basicaly i just want to grow a few tall ones or somethin and weave them through. I'm still using soil so i would like outside access to water and such.
After this or next grow, i would like to do some kind of octagon bucket system. There's one made of pvc on ebay i could prolly replicate.
Maybe i could make a temp room out of foam walls or somethin? I do have a roll of 2mil i could line it with.
I do have some stuff already, i just can't spend money right now like that, i need to prioritize. My 1000w, for example, doesn't work, keeps restarting :(. So i can only use the 600w right now.

I'm going to make a room out of tempered hardboard and line it with mylar or use white panel board and save the mylar for the next project. Should i make a room for flowering or veg?
