Hey I was recently browsing craigslist and some guy was selling these vertical hydro

Do any of you guys think this would be an effective tool for a vertical grow? Maybe throw 2 or 4 of these things around a vertical cool tube 600w?

I was not planning on filling it with plants....only on the front side facing the vertical light. It seems like an inventive way to do a vertical grow without building shelves or anything. Do you think there is a better way to do vertical hydro?

for 25 bucks a pop it would cost a lot of money to surround a light with those, DIY would end up being cheaper in the end. I'm sure it would work though, one the one side...

where do you think I could find a DIY plans for a similar system? It looks simple but how would you go about shoving a PVC pipe in a 5 gallon res with lid and then forcing water/nutes up said pvc to grow locations?
