I have about a 100 sq ft room. I want to grow large trees with vertical lights to keep plant numbers low. I have 4 1KW lights. Anyone done a grow similar to this? Anyone grow large trees to keep numbers low?

What are you thinking. Grow in one room and from start to finish, veg for a long time and then flower? This should work, might be hard to keep a solid flow of plants though....
Yes, that is what I was thinking. With 4 vertical 1K's, I should be able to get a large tree harvest every 4 months, maybe sooner? I have a separate area to keep a few moms and root clones.
search "krusty"...you'll find a bunch of drama, but some info on the tree style too.
10x10'...4plants...the formula calls for 5 points of light source. A 1K in the middle and 4 600's...or, 5 1K's wouldn't disappoint I suppose...lol
I am now thinking of setting up a separate veg room with 1k and using 3k watts in the flower room. That way I can get more harvests, but a smaller yield each time. Thoughts?
You could do that...but the lowest plant count (reasonably) under 3K of top lighting is 12. You'll need all of that extra 1K, preferably on a light mover, to preveg those 12 which need to be topped twice at least.
This gets you 24 plants on hand during most of the cycle.
ya... i'd deffinitely have a separate veg. room...
i like to take clones just before switching a crop to flower cycle. then the clones take like 2 weeks to root and veg for 1 1/2 months and are ready for a bigger space in the flower room when the others are finished. i generally veg for a bit in the flower room though as well... anywhere up to one month of vegging in the bigger room after being transplanted into bigger pots.
