Very bottom leaves are turning yellow

Hi, My plants are doing pretty well, except the fact that the very bottom leaves are turning yellow. Is this normal? They have been flowering for a little over a month. I was using fox farms trio fertilizer but I stopped it for a little while because the leaves were dark green with yellow tips. I think i was over fertilizing. Any help would be apricated.

And start feeding again. Use the trio but very little of the Grow. Normal amount of Micros and Bloom. Add cal mag at this point.

I'm really happy with the buds its forming . Getting bigger every day. Is there any way that cal mag could hurt my plants?

Just something I’m trying, because I heard a botanist talking about it on Cannabis Cultivation and Science podcast-
Not taking the dying leaves off unless they are obstructing light/airflow, or are molding.
The reason being is that it’s not that the leaf is sucking nutes from the plant to stop from dying, the leaves are feeding their nutes back into the plant as they wither and fall off.
I’d have to look for who this “scientist” was and which episode, but he seemed astonished- a little annoyed even- that (often) pot growers defoliate so much, haha.
In the end, clip those yellow fan leaves or don’t, but right now doesn’t seem a big issue. I’m no expert.
But try out things that work for you. I’m always learning new things here, and sometimes I just like to hear about trials and results from regular folks here.

Your not growing in Cocoa so I wouldn’t worry too much about cal mag if I was you

It consumes some of the plants energy to pull those nutes back out of those dying leaves. That energy is better directed elsewhere say to bud development. The plant dosnt need the nutes back out of those leaves because the indoor grower is force feeding all the right nutes at precisely the right times. There isn’t enough time in the plants short life cycle for leaves that are not performing at peak efficiency, or lower parts of the plant that will never become anything substantial come harvest time.

Excellent response. Thanks.
