Very first cfl grow 35 days and counting please comment!!

This is my very first grow and I want opinions and also i would like to show others how they can grow the weed they need to help them with whatever ails them. These plants started out from seed in random containers i found around the house until they were big enough then i put them into 1 Gallon grow bags. I used Miracle grow moisture control soil which i found out to be not to great for growing with due to the lack of air circulation threw the soil i could have added more piralite before potting but forgot. As a new eager grower as you can see I nute burned them about 3 weeks in but they were troopers and got threw it.They began to grow again but I soon ran into PH problems because my tap water was at 7.8 once now that i have got that under somewhat of control they are now 35 days old i have topped 3 which are dividing very nice. For nutrients i have picked up some Liquid seaweed fert just from my neighborhood utility store and they seem to love it i noticed some major leaps in growth and its a bit harder to over fert because its low NKP. The lights that I am using are 9 CFLs and 2 floro tubes which are 6 - 6500k 1500 lumens each 24 watts and 3 - 2700k 2800 lumens each 45 watts the floro tubes are 2 - 6500k 3000 lumens each totaling 24,000 lumens and only about 350 watts total very cheap.For flowering i have 9 2700k 2800 lumens each 45 watts and the 6500k floros. From what I can see of the thumbnails with my bad eyes, you're aware of your mistakes, and doing well for a first grow!
I gotta give you props for that comment you made about admitting your nute burn, LOL.
Everybody has done it at least once, don't be shy, right?
I been drinking, so forgive if I missed things, but 'seaweed', will smell, so don't panic if you happen to sniff one of your water containers after like I did the first time.
PH, Just my exp., but my tap comes out at 7.9, and when I found this, I PH'ed with White vinegar for the first month, then when I realized had been forgetting, I quit, finished the last 2-3 months of the grow, and over 4 months into this grow and have no PH probs whatsoever.
CFL's, this is my first shot at them, and when I learned about my new water supply since it was my first grow here.

When do you suggest that i put these into flower i do have about 6 feet vertical not so much depth tho

Nice lookin plants. As far as when to flower, light penetration has a lot to do with it. I don't know how deep of canopy your cfls will penetrate but there is no real reason for passing this depth in plant height. Of course you can always add lights to the sides.

may i just say...i believe when i use cfls, i think it best to "side light" as much as possible. cuz clfs dont have the strength....so you have to make up for it in anyway you can!

I would let them go a week more and flower, they will get some height during flower. Under cfl's about I dont let mine get more than about 3' tall if that You should get a nice crop out of those.

Yeah they are T5s or 8s cant remember but they are 6400k daylights so i wanted to mix the spectrum up a bit. there is also 9 cfls pumping out alot of lumens u can tell the plants like it more then the 2700k cause they lean more toward it its amazing how responsive these things are

Im on kinda a tight schedule and i have seen how much they have grown just from 3 days of flowering so maybe next time ill veg longer and be sure i have females so i can minimize plant number and maximize light usuage

Looking good sir. What fertz are you planning on flowering with? I used organic fish seaweed and found the only thing i needed was some cal/mag. Later on into veg the leaves margins started to lighten adressed it with some food higher in K and P with extra cal mag. Yours looks awesome though just giving you the troubles i ran into with fish seaweed veg food right before flower time.

I dont have a hydro store near can you purchase somthing from canadian tire or home hardware or wallmart that has cal/mag?

you can let them grow as tall as you want, but the taller they get, the more side lighting they will need, since you're using CFL.

I agree with Zubey91 and chichi...lower those lights and add some cfl's to the sides...you'll be glad you did, recently made that very adjustment to my box and its made a world of difference...

UPDATE!! "42 days from sprout"

Hi guys just a bit of an update here these girls are now 42 days old from sprout.. as you can see ive added a net in there to allow for light to the lower nodes and ive added 6000 lumens of 6400k T8's to the front side..

Update for today

Decided i wanted to do a bit of experimenting threw a net in and trimmed some of my lower leaves on a few plants unless im misinformed my plants will continue to grow for some time in 12/12 that is why i didnt mind trying it late.. if anyone has any objections id like to hear.

So apparently I have a garden store in town with some more specialized ferts and soils. I found a ph pen there as well.

just had a couple questions

- Is this a good route to go for me for flower ferts and can i mix it with the liquid kelp and water.

- will this ph pen be accurate enough for what i need ?
