Very first grow using hydroponics expensive system please help

Hi, I would like some opinions on using hydroponics versus other systems. What I had in mind is using something like this here: http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=713 . I know this is an expensive way to start but do you think I would be able to produce 4-8 oz per plant using this system? Is there anything else I would need besides the clones to start this? Would you have a rough idea of an electric bill with just this system? Would I be able to harvest within 3 months? I would like to start with a good strain with high yield potential that can be done start to finish in 3 months. Your thoughts and ideas are very much appreciated.

The system is sound. However not enough room I have a similar upwelling system and I have to have at least three feet between buckets. And you could collect everything by making most and piecing out the other and I'm sure you'll be happier. That's grossly expensive.

Your question is very difficult to answer.
Harvest = This will depend on the strain of the weed plant you're growing
Finishing time = This will again depend on the strain you're growing. You can try autos. But the yield is nowhere near the 4 ounces you have in mind. :)

DWC buckets will veg plants faster than soil. but just to pop seeds and maybe 6" plant might take 2-3wks
indoor getting 4-8oz a plant is possible. 1. you need atleast 6ft plants nice and bushy 2. you need atleast 1000w hps or better and co2. 3. your grow needs to be dialed in
to get bigger yields go with sativa's and stable strains like the classics, northern lights white widow strains of that sort`
you'll spend maybe 1.5 months vegging then a 10wk strain for bigger yield. dry and cure maybe 5months total til harvest.

electric bill maybe 150$-250$ a month

tips.. buy a bunch of clones to speed up the process, or build a green house and flower outside. no electric bill and killer yield.
if you feed right and have decent temps your OD can look as good as indoor

Damn that's expensive...as mentioned, if you buy the components of this system separately you will save a shitload and not have to worry so much about yield. It will be easier to whether the storm without a hole in your pocket. Yield will vary as well...no way to predict unless you have already had experience with the particular strain being grown.
