I can't possibly count the hours I've combed through posts with a similar title as this one, so hopefully it will be a challenge rather than a redundancy for everyone out there.
I just harvested for the first time ever: Shaman from Dutch Passion. It’s been around since the 80’s and never reviewed here, but damn what a great high. It gives me energy, keeps me focused and creativity just blossoms out of nowhere. I smoke almost exclusively as a catalyst for creativity (writing mostly), so there’s no doubt I should stick to sativa dominant strains. Anyway, I’m ready for something new and value your opinion. Let me tell you what I like and what I don’t like regarding effects, maybe you can help narrow down my list of about 20 possibilities.
WHAT I DON’T LIKE: couch lock; feeling stupid; feeling tired; feeling lazy; feeling hungry; feeling dizzy; feeling paranoid or anxious.
WHAT I DO LIKE: energy, focus, and a pronounced creativity reminiscent of an acid trip, even if the thoughts come so fast that I can’t keep up; something that reminds me of the spiritual connection to nature (euphoria maybe?). I love strong, out of control highs that take the mind to to new, psychedelic heights and revelations—not that render me stupid and speechless. I could take or leave a body buzz.
Asking for all of that in one variety is asking a lot, so if I were to choose 3, energy and soaring creativity would have to be constants among them with no couch lock or stupidity.
Am I ready for a pure sativa? Brick Top spoke highly of Reeferman's varieties like Willie Nelson. I was also thinking of something from the Mandala or TGA Subcool line. Or maybe Malawi Gold from Holy Smoke? Arjan Haze #3? Durban Poison or Jack Herer? F 13? Hawaiian Snow? I know, "Shut up already!" Don't want to spend all the cash on Kali Mist which everyone seems to rave about.
Would love the opinions of those who have actually smoked the possibilities rather than those who, like me, have only read about them. And please tell me why rather than just typing the name of a strain. Sell me on it, please.
If you’ve had the energy to read this and have the time to give an opinion, I would really appreciate it. If not, hey, I’ve learned a lot from all of you already. Peace.
