Very un-American

Sadly, it's totally American.
We, the American people, are synonymous with lazy in the eyes of most the rest of the world.
Why would law enforcement be any different i.e. make an arrest that requires actual police work, rather than make the easy busts under a federal guise by people strictly following state law.

JJ you are right, this shit is sickening, a potential life sentence for some plants. If poppies were being grown, the charges would be the same, possibly even less severe. Fucked UP!
Proud to see this individual sacrificing his "freedom" for something he believes in.

Marijuana prohibition is a joke, look at all the countries trying to profit from legalization during this fucked up financial time. Even one of our strongest allies, Isreal understand cannabis has a medical purpose and the states just cannot get on board.

Our president and presidential candidate bicker about the countries deficit and unemployment rates, with no tangible solution.
Legalize it mofos.

Agreed, guns and MMJ don't mix but its nuts guns and alcohol are all good.
Another great conundrum..

It's crazy to think someone could not arm themselves to protect their property and livelihood. In retrospect the gun toters are protecting themselves from criminals. If this was a guerrilla grow in the mountains with guns, that would signify cartel but this is not the case in this story.

Feds need to re-classify.

What pisses me off so very much in my state is the fact that every bar and every "liquor store" (they're also mostly bars) have drive through windows. They call them drive through lounges, You can literally order your favorite drink to go! Yet we know the dangers of drinking and driving and the city/state allows this over marijuana usage?! It's unreal how backwards some states and laws can be.

Mass protest lasts for months... Streets are crowded through out the country.

Like the Occupy crowd but with a true cause... Decriminalize marijuana and release all the victims to this arbitrary prohibition...

It is the duty of the citizen to fight corruption and bring their grieves to the government - foreign & domestic.

Protests? I think the last thing the movement needs IMHO is to look like the Occupy losers. Stepping up pressure means electing pro reform candidates, legal challenges and advocacy, and the courts.

I found it embarrassing when Steph Sherer herself of the ASA was arrested during a civil protest.

The message we need to take to America is that recreational and medical consumers of cannabis are not "special", but more normal than NORML. Consumers are family members and business leaders, and even fellow church goers. These are truths that can open hearts and minds.

Sorry, when something like the pot leaf drives such a visceral reaction in our opponents we need to change our tactics...the pot leaf symbol has got to go.
