Veterans and Medical Cannabis

Being a vet, especially here in California, can be taxing when dealing with people in public settings.

Until I ran into the medical cannabis community here in kalifornia. Discounts and special treatment lavished on those with a military history. In-fuckin-creadible. I haven't been spoiled like that since I ran into that stweardess outside the USO in Denver.

It was awesome. To any of those who had a hand in implementing those kinds of policies, Thank You.

Hi
Be careful when you go in for a medical or treatment at the Center.
Altho it had been 4 weeks sense I smoked, it was detected during a blood test at the center.
They dropped all my medical benifits.
Trying to get back on board, saying it was poppy seeds !!!!!!!!!
Waiting on a decision now.
All the best my friend

Crap. I am a vet with medical benefits. I started smoking after I retired last year. I didn't know they kick you out of the system! I am going to keep track of my visits now to have clean out time.
That said, I just saw a news story that VA doctors are forbidden from MJ recommendations in states that allow it. They say you can go to another DR for that but recommend against it.

Yes!! I have a MMH from a civi doc.
They just cut off my meds, I still have medical.
I have had eye problem due glacoma amongst other things.
I was on some legal serious synthetic heron meds, getting sicker all the time.
A year of smoking some good smoke has cleared my eyes up and I am feeling better.
They can stuff there meds.
Blah Blah as old men do.
Retired on SS 5 yrs ago

Nearly every dispensary I go to offers discounts to vets, usually from 10-15% off, not a bad deal at all. Some have made me show my ID, others not so much.

Yeah, the VA will still see you and pay you compensation; they are just more guarded about what meds they give you. They know I have my medical card and I have a hard time getting them to give me alprozolam (xanax) now. Shit, my VA social worker was the one that recommended that I get my card.

Well, I do get meds from the VA via the mail. I only need high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and a anti-depressant. It is not one of the high strength brands. In fact I was told I could decide when to quit that one when ever I felt like it was time, but that they would need to take me off it slowly.
I am not in a medical friendly state, but the state pharmaceutical board just unanimously voted in favor of MMJ but there is still a lot of work before/if that happens.

I figured after I retired, that was the last time I would be forced to take a UA. I don't want to loose my meds from the VA as I would be screwed if I had to pay 100% out of pocket for them...after having to find and pay for another DR. to prescribe what I was already taking.

I am in a simular boat.
I am off all meds for 2 months now because of this.
It is my first med grow of Chronic.
They are 6 weeks in Flower today.
The temp.humidity meter in one of the pics is 5.5 inchs x 3 inchs.
These buds are ###### Monsters.
The wife and I will be happy campers for a long time with these.

Has anyone heard of this new program to subsidize companies who hire vets buy paying the company the wage that they pay the vet? Basically if you get hired by a company and are a vet they pay a certain % of your salary based on type/length of service. If you happen to be disabled it's 120%.

Dude, those're sexy. I have a Sour Apple (Sour diesel X Pineapple Kush)
The buds of the chronic were huge and hard.
I had them under 2 x 600 watt.
When dried they got a little fluffy.
Dried 650 grams.

I grew one Sour Cream (Original Sour Diesel x G13 Haze) off to the side in one of the pots.
I got 54 grams of it.
Had to tie up the room for an extra 2 weeks.
Got a clone from it and expect to try a full grow in 7 weeks or so.
I have some Purple Gorilla
Fuckin Incredible x BB
Have high hopes of getting 1gram/watt with this strain.

2 600 watt systems is what I want. I can do some damage with those.

And the last time I dealt with the VA they left me on the hook for tuition they said they'd pay. I did all the paperwork and they stuck me with a 3600 dollar tuition. Bastards...

The VA will kick you out for serious recreational drug usuage. I smoke sometimes and openly tell my vet doc that I do they never care, but if your like my sister in laws ex and you go in and test positive for, amphetamine, marijuana, heroin, and other shit you will g3et kicked but, they will help you get clean first.
