2000 watts would be aliitle over the top for my size room. But 1000 watts would only be 7000 L per sq.ft. and i would like it to be closer to 10000. I have been considering using 2 1000 watt lights but think that would cause to many problems (heat) mainly.

with the one you posted above. I pretty sure there are two 1000 watt bulbs in that one reflector along with two ballasts powering them. if you have a big space and several plants. I think it would be better to have two separate reflectors to spread the light across the plants.

So you would think that this system would produce just as much heat as 2 seperate 1kw lighting systems? So if thats the case 2 seperate reflectors would give more light to more parts of the room with same amount of heat?

there is a duel 600 ballast by lumatek...which would probally work better in such a small space...and is cheaper i believe...seen em on e/bay

slater is right, scope these 2. Search for a long time before just buying. research for a good amount of time and get a solid game plan. These links are just for ideas

2000W of lighting creates the same amount of heat energy no matter if its in one fixture or in two seperate fixtures. The room is 6 X 3 and 7' tall? I'd use 2 600W lights. Each 600W light will be good for a 3X3 area.

I really have been thinking hard about the 600w but BRAND NEW they are almost as much as a BRAND NEW 1000w and i want to get the most out of my money. Everyone seems to be using 600w on here and the only reasoning i can make is because it is alot easier to control temps mabee? not real sure tho

I was able to get 2 600w for a pretty good price IMO with a 600w DUAL Lumatek Dimmable Ballast. Any bad thoughts on a dual ballast?
