Guess It will have to be screen shots from the video's lol.
Hey guys, I am new to the board and have learned EVERYTHING I know so far about growing here and with a couple video's I downloaded.
I will try to give as much info as possible. I have noticed something new with my plants in the last couple days that I am troubled with.
SOIL:
I have noticed in the last three/four days that all my new growth is MUCH lighter in color, I have added pics/ a so you can see.
I am uncertain of the strain I am using, but have been told it is a longer strain (8-9 weeks flowering)
I have 63 plants, that came from clones from an older mother that had some stress in her life and was OLD. However I received 63 clones and ALL survived. I have noticed a HUGE disparity between the weakest and the strongest.
They are 7 weeks old and got flipped to 12/12 3-4 days ago.
The soil I am using is straight promix HP, they went from their jiffy pots right into the pots they are in now, the soil was brand new.
The plants range in height from 8" to 18" with the average being just under 18"
I am not using any techniques, I am just letting them do their thing. This is my first grow and so I am trying to keep as many variables to control at a minimum.
I have 50 of them in 8" pots and 13 in 12".
I am using General Hydroponics three part nutes.
I have watered 4 times since they were planted. First water was at 33ml of each part of the three part nutes per 100l water.
Second watering was a week later with nutes at 260ml of each bottle per 100l water. Third watering was the same as second, fourth was 160ml of each bottle per 100l water.
With every 100l feeding I have also added in 33ml of a product called 'Liquid Karma'
I had planned on going straight water for the next one. Every watering has had about 5% run-off
I mixed the nutes into the water in the order of Micro, Gro, Bloom.
I collected about 500ml run-off from one of my plants yesterday, I used PH strips to test and it came out at more acidic than 5.5!??
Water is going in at PH 6.5-7
I have been watering when most of the plants droop.
Last feed was two days ago.
I have two rooms with 31 and 32 plants each, each room has 2 x 1000hps. I am keeping the lights as close as I can without bleaching happening to the plants.
I would say the distance is about 18-24" from light to plant.
The relative humidity is around 50-60% (is this going to be trouble once I have buds?
I am unsure of the canopy temperature, I have laid the thermometer on an upside down bucket about 6" lower than canopy and it maxed out at 83 degrees and minned out at 70 yesterday. They have been up past 90 (before I got a/c about two weeks ago) and have been as low as 66" The average I would say during lights on has been 80 and 77 during lights off.
I have a 8" vortec fan pulling from two 8" vents (split with a Y) into a HUGE can. The air is coming from a window on the back side of the room (I noticed plants nearest to the intake are growing best). The vortec doesn't stop running.
I have an 18" fan in each room in the corner closest to the door. *(the room is 8' by 15' the fan is on the short wall furthest from the intake which is on the other short wall.
The medium hasn't ever been more than mostly dry. (Dig in with fingie and once it was dry 3" down I water, or when the pots feel really light, or when the moisture metre says dry.
I haven't purchased a PPM metre, my water is straight tap water and I have been told it's good for growing. most of the time it comes out at 6.5ph and we have no calcification around any of the faucets or anything like that. it is not softened.
This also seems to be worse in the room that is on during day light hours.
I have been foliar feeding every three days with 1ml Liquid Karma per litre of water.
In the second third and fourth week after the jiffy pots were planted the plants were cleaned of bugs using a Dr. Doom bug bomb thing (the ones that you set in the room and push a button and it just empties the can, I used a size t hat was more t han adequate . . and haven't had many bugs around since.
Attatched is a pics of what one of the plants look like. Notice all the NEW growth is VERY light green in comparison to the older leaves.
