You ever seen the quality of the photos they took on the Apollo missions? Amazing.

There are many many photos taken, most were taken with a super light-sensitive Kodak 2485, 16,000 ASA film, or Kodak Ektachrome SO-121 for the color shots. These photos are about 6K resolution , or about 3 times as sharp as a HD video image. They Used Hasselblad 500 EL Cameras that were special made for the missions and it used a Zeiss Biogon wide angle lens with a special anti-reflective coating. Really nice stuff, even today. With the absence of clouds and no atmosphere, pics from the moon are crystal clear.

Not like taking a pic of the moon from the earth, light pollution, 8MP digital camera (2K resolution), trees and clouds in the way too, plus the atmosphere.
