Hey Ink, because of your grow guide I really want to order some VK seeds sometime soon. Probably in the next 2 months. Do you think I could come to you for advice while growing them? Since you're experienced with the strain and all bongsmilie

Sure why not. This is my first run w/ the strain, but I have a bunch of clones rooted now too. So im gonna try a few different things w/ the Vk and see what she like best. The flowers on my first one in flower are really starting to grow now, so it should start getting interesting soon.

Update:

I harvested the top of the Skunk #1, dried and started curing. I planned on revegging the bottom 1/2 of the plant, but after a test run that isnt gonna happen. The smoke is good, but not gonna be good enough to justify the space.

Some quick notes on Hashplant x Haze. It started flowering very quickly then just kind of stopped growing. For about 2 weeks they didnt do much and I was kinda bummed.

They go nuts w/ flower development and resin production at week 6. The one plant at weeks 6 looks bigger and more frosty every day.
The smell has gone from barely noticeable to pretty strong fruity smell.
The change from day to day is very significant. Im amazed and happy.

Ill take and upload pics soon as I can, my son has surgery tomorrow AM so its gonna be a rough weekend.

Ya man, the Hashplant Haze is an ugly bitch. To be honest when the first couple started to really flower I was pretty skeptical because of the appearance.

Its by far the ugliest strain in my closet but it packs a pretty good wallop. Ive smoked a small sample over the last few days and Im pretty happy w/ the buzz, but the smell and especially the flavor arent good.

I havent smoked, grown Haze or anything crossed w/ Haze. Is a horrible taste but great buzz normal w/ it?

LOL I was so worried about the Haze taste I forgot my update for the grow. I made another full post about it so This is copied and pasted from the post because Im just too tired to type it all again.

I was woke up Monday at 4 AM by pounding on my apartment door. My fisr thought was "shit, im busted; I cant believe this shit."
As soon as I put my foot on the floor I noticed it was kinda wet. By the time I woke up enough to walk and open the door I realized what the knocking was about. Our apartment was flooding.
By the time I got to the door and talked w/ my neighbor we has about 1 inch of water on the floor. he pointed down the common hallway and we noticed water rushing in, not trickling; rushing.
After I woke up my wife and told her to get the kids out of the house I ran into the grow room and unplugged everything. By then the water was 5 inches deep and rising quickly.

My veg cabinet was all good, the plants are all up higher. My supplies were all in the bottom.
My closet for flowering was a different story. All the small plants in small pots were tipped over and in the water already. My bigger plants in 3 and 5 gallon pots were not flooded yet. I chopped all my flowering plants

I disassembled my entire grow in less than 15 minutes in flood water and bagged up all the plants I chopped. All the vegging plants got put in the garage w/ the garbage bag of flowering plants that didnt get flooded. I had enough time to grab our TV, computer, safe and most of out clothes. All my grow stuff was out first out of fear of the landlord, firefighters, police or electric company people being there soon.

By the time I got that stuff out, all of our furniture, some of our clothes and all our food were lost to the water.
So i got to save a clone of each strain I had going and a few vegging plants.. My chopped plants wont yield much I only had a couple that were mature enough to be good.

My perpetual system and cycle are completely up in smoke. Anyone that grows perpetual knows it takes a while to get to the point of perpetual harvest and I was just finally at that point.:wall:
LOL you'd be surprised how fast you can take a pretty nice grow-op apart when you absolutely have no choice.

So sorry guys just as things were really taking shape and getting interesting it's a major setback. I promise this though, I WILL be continuing. Im in a new place and starting to setup already. My clones and vegging plants survived the flood. All is not lost and my grow WILL be perpetual again. Thanks for the compliments on my grow from you all. After this shit, the comments are much appreciated.

hard luck.
The worst flood I ever experienced in Israel was when my washing machine broke so I really don't know how an apartment could get flooded so quickly.

At least your genetics are safe, you and your family are safe and you haven't got caught. Focus on that ;D

Update:
Sorry no pics, cant find my camera after the super hasty move into a new place.

I have my 400 HPS up and running w/ the plants happily recovering from the move. I lost 2 clones that were in the cloner during the move, thats better than I expected. I took a couple more cuttings of The Church. I'm gonna take my larger clones that are vegging now and put them outdoors. The smaller clones that just rooted and the ones rooting will stay indoors to veg and flower.
So I will be flowering indoors and outdoors both Violator Kush and The Church. Kushberry and Hashplant x Haze are gonna stay indoors only.

I did a sample of the Hasplant x Haze w/ a couple days of curing and the flavor has improved some. Still not a tasty smoke, just ordinary taste. The high is good, better than average. I like the strain, but w/ all the Indica stuff I have running it makes it a mess in my tight space. I'll probably flower this batch of clones out and pollinate a few flowers to have seed stock. After that I think Im gonna give the strain a break.

I'll look more for the camera if I cant find it Ill take a few pics w/ my cell.

I cant believe you APOLOGIZED for a flood, everyone's just happy you and your family are safe- and you managed to salvage much much more than i probably could have in that situation. definitely good work. I've been wanting to watch a Violator Kush grow for a while, i will definitely be checking back in. Good work on getting started back up quickly, sorry about your losses but glad everything turned out okay in the end! Cant wait for more updates, and feel free to give tips and comments to either of my grows [to anyone reading this], both links in my signature.

I was just apologizing for the lack of pics, thanks for the kind words from you all. It is appreciated. Not much to post for pics, just clones and vegging plants.

I unpacked the rest of my grow gear and was a little bummed. My bubble cloner had mold growing inside the res. and on the hose so it was chucked. Ill go to Wallyworld and get the stuff to build another, thinking im gonna go a little bigger this time. My Jacks Classic was all wet inside too, tossed that just in case. I dont want any mold problems and would rather spend a few $ than take a chance.

My first few cuttings of The Church have rooted and are starting their 1 month veg cycle. I gotta say they clone VERY well, as fast if not faster than Hashplant x Haze.

The Sharksbreath seedling is going well, huge root system for a seedling that made me

So I have new clones of all my strains. Definitely keeping Violator Kush and The Church in my grow. Im gonna have to choose 1 more strain to keep going as space is an issue as always.

I finished my veg area yesterday so I switched 1 of each strain into flowering yesterday.:weed:
Im gonna be going to a 2 weeks cycle I think, doing weekly was getting a bit too much. My flowering area got too tight.
So there will be pics again, no sense in posting pics of more of the same plants vegging.

If the yield and buzz are comparable on the 3 other strains I'll let you guys choose which one I keep in the grow.
