Roots do develop symbiotic relationships with fungi etc and if you’re using canna coco pro it has added trichoderma if I Remember correctly.

I would say at the moment it’s nothing to worry about but if it starts to develop on the top then you need more airflow.

Topping can be done on any node at any point.

I always top my plants as it helps me for the training I’m doing that grow.

I’ve seen similar at the top of the pot and it’s to do with airflow but I must admit I don’t know every mould out there.

I did say watch it and if it spreads you could look to increase airflow around the base.

Are they sitting in water for a prolonged period of time?
