Vivid Dreams

I love vivid dreams ... even the scary ones. They leave an imprint on my day ... like an emotional watermark. Do you ever get a memory-flash in a random time or place ... not of something you've experienced awake, but of a dream moment? Coolness. cn

Yes, I end up stopping whatever I'm doing and try to hold on to it and remember as much of it as I can before it slips away.

Yes, yes ... exactly. It has the feel of a favorite childhood memory. There is this road, a composite of places I've seen, that features in one of my recurrent dream-sheaves going back more than thirty years now. Every now and then a nuance of lighting or skyline takes me there. cn

it would be crazy as fuck if it were other versions of you that you're either becoming or just watchin in your dreams. ive had dreams of things that became reality and its weirdest feelin i get dude like chills when it happens. i think dreams are a lot more important than most think.

So do I! There's like this whole other globe thats consistently the same, And I've seen it many many times for as long as I can remember. Thats what first created that suspicion.

I agree. I've just been caught by random moments and realize the exact same thing happened in a dream, to the point where I know whats going to happen over the next few seconds.
I think its like alot of things concerning our brain, for all the mapping thats been done I don't think we have any clue. There are obviously different kinds of dreams, some with purpose, and some that are just random.

I had a vivid dream about chucky (the psycho doll) being a little baby. It was creepy as fuck. I kept thinking I fell asleep then in my dream I would wake up to that baby grabbing my hand. Ahh I ended up ripping him apart.

i have used to have night terrors. weed helps suppress that, i have ripped doors and frames of walls waking up from night terrors dreams are not my friend, anyone else dream of events that happen the next day, normally insignificant moments when deja vu sets in, but some times i have premonitions or maybe its just my brains common sense montage

i have about ten reoccurring night terror but three or four occur a lot most have a lot to do with darkness and the woods or being trapped or caged, i get real bad anxiety after they happen, now i have learned to deal with them and when they happen im more aware of it when i wake up, most of the time i just wake up screaming and some threashing elbowed my girl in the eye once,

i would just like to say but not reccomend, heavy amount of mushrooms or acid also helped me deal with some of these issues and since my last big trip 18gram of Amazonian Cubenzeis i havent had a bad night terror since, but that trip was intense

I woke up freaking out once, I woke up punching the shit out of the bed next to me, my girlfriend at the time was startled enough to jump away and not get hit, but she woke me while I was punching. I don't remember what the hell I was punching, but I wasn't letting up for shit.

They say if you die in your dream it symbolizes a birth. Creepest dream I ever had, had my throat cut by a black guy. A month later I met my wife and we had a black child. (her moms black, and I'm a straight up mut with huge gaps in his family tree, so shes %50 black and most 12.5% percent anything else) Obviously didn't happen right when we met, but we started the pregnancy not to long afterwards. it wasn't until after she was born that I looked it up and read that.

One of the first really messed up dreams that I can remember was at about 24 years old. In my dream I was at a friend's house sitting in the living room with him talking about - (?) At some point we noticed some lightning in the sky so we went to the window to take a look. The lightning was getting closer and closer, to the point where it felt as though it would hit the house. Eventually, the lightning started to come in through the window and we had to duck under it. I remember (in the dream) being scared but also fascinated by the lightning directly overhead. In the same night, I dreamt of being in a world war and was carrying a wounded soldier down a mud road in torrential rain. Of course, I couldn't run and the person I was carrying was severely injured and screaming for help. Very frustrating.

Fuck.

Other freaky dreams I've had were a giant plane that kept looping, and it was doing it really really low to the ground, I kept thinking it was going to crash. Another one I was in my backyard, and I saw a bomb drop, and we were all trying to avoid it. It felt so real. It landed in my backyard, but it didn't blow up.

.Man, sometime I really have to master that lucid dreaming trick, seems like it would make for the best video game ever. †L†

 Looping doesn't sound fun to me.

Some dreams are known as archetypal, where they usually involve an element that is common to all people. ie: skies, earth, etc. These also ask the question 'who is the dreamer?'

I had a daydream once that I was sitting in a desert, in what we used to call 'indian style' (north american). In the daydream I was looking out at the desert, but my head wasn't up. I was looking down, but out, at the same time. As I looked out I saw a white rectangle off in the distance. It was distorted by a heat mirage but still clear as day. A leopard walks out from behind the rectangle, gauges me - as I gauge it. I felt no fear of it at all, just some kind of mutual respect.

I snapped out of it right then, but I really wish I could have been more interactive with it.
