Voidlings First Cab

So if the 6 I put into coco net cups I'm pretty sure pioneer is down for the count and possibly a second one. Two look pretty good still. The others are kind of iffy. These weren't ideal clones to be attempting this with so it was a gamble.

Well all but 1 look like crap so that was wasted. Not sure the exact cause, too many possibilities. So next I either go back and do Rom from seed or I try cloning the Apollo inside net pots in the flower chamber.

Nothing flowing at the moment. I had a bit of a shut down over the summer. With vacation and all. Been smoking on my stash. Trying to get something into flower to try this new set up. I got your email, I'll be getting on that next week.

Sensei, I've got cuts off the Apollo in my bubble cloner right now and will see if they take. Also have sparkle and bb1 in there. Not sure why my Rom seeds dressing come up, they had already shown the tap root

Voidling, Ive been wondering how people wire up your CFLs the way you did...ive been looking for a tutorial but cant find any. could you help a brother out?

Yeah no problem. Which lights though? The twist cfl type or the long doubled tube type?
Let me know and I'll type it up while I'm on the pc. And clearer minded

3 Apollo cuts into coco net cups and 3 into hydroton net cups.

Water temp is like 85 and air temp is 86. Guess that power head raises temps more than thought.

I also turned off half of the led for rooting.

Will likely make some coco cups and try Apollo cuts that way as it still needs to be trimmed down

So far so good. None have wilted yet. Unlike when I had put the rooted clones in coco in net pots into it.

I wish I had bought a power head with an air tube. Live and learn.

I think I'll most likely to away with coco in the hydro after this.

I have my cfls on a power strip, I wondered how you wired both, I'm gonna build a bigger cab soon and want to know the best way to light it

Wiring up urge cfl sockets are easy. The pl-l is a little annoying. I'll have to dig up some stuff on them for you.

I'll write you up something in the next few days

Dude. You rock! Haha most people here would tell me to go fuck myself and google it. Seriously appreciate the help man. Would I have to get a small power supply to wire them too or what? Cause I know it's more complicated than screw it in and plug it in

The cfl lights are as simple as that. You just need an electrical plug, wire, light sockets, and cfl bulbs. You'll also need something to mount them to and a way to do so.

I forgot write nuts and or electrical tape.

For the pl-l or regular fluorescents you need a ballast, plug, wire, sockets, and lights.

Having a ballast allows for you to put it outside the cab as it's a big heat producer

Indeed, ballasts get a lot hotter than I expected!

Write it nice Voidling, maybe it can be stickied as a tutorial.

Where do I wire it from though? What actually plugs into the wall and how do I wire that to the light socket?

If you know what you're doing-you could pop the face cover off a wall plug, remove the sockets, and direct wire a switch, and then to your setup. (Make sure you flip your breakers! Don't help no one to get electrocuted!)

wait for the Vman's response.. He won't do ya wrong.

I would not directly write it in.

I used a Fulham workhorse ballast. One end has a black and a white wire coming out. These go to you ac plug. I did not put a switch on mine. Our as auto correct put, I did not put a squirrel on mine.

They get rather pissed off when you write them into 120 volt. If you're lucky they just trip a breaker, but if they feel particularly mean they catch on fire.
