I have to agree with the combustion crowd. Vaping just doesn't get you as high as smoking. Period. Need proof?
Vape a bowl until popcorn flavor or longer, dump out what's left.
Smoke a bowl, dump out what's left.
Can't do anything with the leftover ash from the smoked bowl, it's done.
Now go ahead and make butter, or smoke the leftover vaped stuff. It still works?!? No matter how good you vape it, you'll always leave usable bud behind.
Smoking gets you much higher due to providing a broader cannabanoid profile when you combust compared to vaping. I tried to vape for weeks but eventually gave it up. Unless you just don't like getting very high, then you should smoke, don't vape. Maybe some people are different, but it was pretty obvious to me that vaping just wasn't going to get me as high as I wanted. No matter how much I vaped or how long I waited to reduce tolerance it didn't work for me.
I smoked for 20 years and wanted to just vape to taste my weed and give my lungs a break. Not anymore. Now that I know it doesn't give me nearly the same experience as smoking there's almost no point to it. Maybe healthier, sure?
I'll vape when I need to work, or have to visit family, or just want a shorter, clear high. But not often. It's gotten to the point where I'd rather not get high at all if I can't smoke.
If I were introducing a new person to weed I'd make them vape a little first to get a taste for it. It's like highness for beginners.
