I'm really looking forward to the smokeout...around here; it's like I'm the only game in town(unless commercial indica is your game!)...I'm really interested in connecting with the t.g.a.central coast people. we're the ones riding the crest of the wave....next year everyones gonna' be on the vortex bandwagon, and we're already 2 moves ahead-working on the next big thing. it's up to us to shape the future of west coast ganja. the direction I'm going?- I'm infecting the central coast with vortex & tinybomb to amp it up...the 'nam weed for speed, and nepali for that primal flavor...and the shark attack will need to be resurrected as 2 strains(cherry zapper, and skunks with machineguns). I'm interested in what direction y'all are headin'. just remember: we ARE the future of ganja.

who needs luck? you got the terminatrix! that's a 'game changer'...even the cynthia would do it(she tastes more fruity). as far as all the bowled-over heavy hitters in santa cruz are concerned...YOU 'da man! besides: where's cindy 99's cup? where's apollo's cup? where's chemdawg/o.g.cups? where's trainwreck's cup? I'm less than impressed with H.T.'s track record! it's like they're 5 yrs. behind the state of california! I guess that's what happens when your rag is outta' manhattan...$$$$$MANHATTAN$$$$$$! makes me wanna' buy some fake pot!

I hope you win, but the cup was about as lame and unorganized as it gets imho... Maybe I'll have more fun next year when our collective (CBS) has it's own booth.

I did swing by your booth and that was cool and I am also growing a few of your strains right now (Kaboom, Querkle, JillyBean, and I tried Deep Purps but got 10 males for the first time ever ... the Jilly Beans were all female FYI) Anyhow, I would say your a notch above the others at the Cup and you were definitely one of the more professional contenders... I saw a lot of commons like GDP and Sour D ect... and from questionable sources to boot.

Anyhoo, I dont think I will be back for tomorrows award ceremony, but even though there was a gang of entries I think your Vortex can win it and will be wishing you luck, let us know what happens when you get back on monday....

I didn't even get in, I think they need to reorganize that whole plan, I waited in line for over an hour only to find out they were maxed out with people and was told to come back later

I just went about town and hit a few clubs, what a nice day, maybe Vancouver next time?

Sucks you didnt get in but you didnt miss a whole lot, it was kinda like a big dispensary and head shop with a smoking section.
I bought my tickets a month in advance but I still stood in line for 2 hours and to be honest, everyone's spirits seemed to be pretty down by the time they finally did get in.

Hope it was a better experience for you Sub... Who placed and for what entries?

wonder what the outcome was not that it realy matters as far im concernd i have been running alot of strains and only subs shit has found a place in my mother room. as far as hightimes goes they have been corp. sellouts for almost 2 decades 15 20 years ago you used to be able to walk into a hightimes fest burn 1 with chong and party your ass off i cant remeber werre it was at either tappen lake OH or bear creek OH now to me its like you might as well have bought concert tickets to see a band they have it so set up like a function now its retarded. i say fuck hightimes and there shitty no more info pumped full of adds rag. i dont need them to tell me whats DANK

Sub I'm sorry you didnt win... What was your opinion on the winning strains like Gods Pussy? Is that a Gods Gift cross? I really like the real Gods Gift, and a sativa dominant cross sounds nice.

I had a good time; although I can fully relate on all charges posted...especially the 2 hr. wait!!!! I was standing in the doorway when they cut off all non-paids- I'd 've been super ultra pissed..it pays to buy in advance....also it REALLY pays to stay at a 4 star minimum hotel when hittin' san fran'. 3 stars is a loooong drop from the quality of 4 in san francisco! I also came with the attitude that you BRING the party: don't just be a dud walking around like a bored touron...if everybody came amped up to spread the joy and celebrate the end of a long, hard war, it woulda' been better. one thing that really got to me though was the blatant hollywood/vegas get rich quick sleaze that oozed. but that's the underbelly of the ganja world.you're either in it for the love of the ganja, or you're MGS: money grubbing scum....as far as vortex not winning the cup- you already know my stance(which has just been validated). it(cup results) doesn't mean jack shit in santa cruz, where 'gettin' vortexed' is part of the language. vortex/ jack's cleaner/ tinybomb are going to be seen historically as major contributors to the advancement of ganja genetics...that's just the way it is. THAT's why I'm a Subcool super fan. I was wholely unimpressed with everything else at the cup, as was my friend Jaya. maybe some of the other strains were o.k., but you can't tell much in those jars- sniffed over a thousand times before I got there. I'm not worried in the least now! what we're doing is far beyond the nonsense that basically encompasses 90% of the ganja industry. I'm forcing up the baseline quality in santa cruz- crappy growers and their hashberry,blue dream, and all those other commercial strains, are really starting to feel the pinch of biodynamic TGA crosses. they'll either get on board or be left behind. that's just the way it is. to Subcool: thanks for puttin' up with me...and don't sweat it: you've got the right vibe, and you have the right stuff. you're about 2 inches from the place where awards and all that are useless- when you 'da man...EVERYBODY knows!.....you've got the genetics, and you've got a super heroine for your better half!

Anyhow, I'm now hearing rumors that the Gods Pussy WAS the vortex cut? Are these rumors true? I didnt notice gods pussy when I lurked over to your booth but I am a stoner so its possible, but it says Grean Bicycles entered the GP so idk?... The only thing I know for sure is that I'm confused and I'm probably confusing everyone else as well.

Ok, I was totally confused as well but wasn't sure if maybe I just missed something. I was watching the live feed from Norml's website last night during the award ceremonies. The person who accepted the 1st place sativa award DID state that it was TGA seeds "Vortex"..but it was kind of hard to hear, and I didnt hear him say why it was called "GP". Im confused.....did someone else beat out Subcool's vortex entry with their own Vortex?

i don't know... never heard of gods pussy before nor can i find shit about G.P. on the NET.
