Waaaa hooooo Spring Has Almost Sprung

I know. Don't you just LOVE that smell. mmmmmmmmmm
Its awesome. We have been collected a variety over the years and have had them in a reserve garden and today we planted them all. The thing is we have a variety of them so we have the early flowering ones and then the ones that come out later so they will flower all spring long.
I think fragrance is so under-rated. Some plants are more wonderful in fragrance than physical beauty but the lilacs look so pretty as well. :hump: I LOVE them. Some of them are very young still but I have some older bushes.

and it will smell wonderful! i have lilacs on both sides of my house and my neighbors do also they just started to show little nubs where the flowers will sprout i cant wait the few weeks where my entire yard smells like lilacs is my favorite time of year except october when we harvest.

My gardens are starting to come alive and it is so uplifting.
I know most of you find this boring but I love my flowers.
I now have daffodils, tulips. trilliums. hyacinths, geraminiums some day lilies and peonies care coming up now. It is starting to look more colourful.

The trillium is Ontario's wildflower. It is illegal to pick them and you can get a $100 fine but I have some in my garden because they are all throughout the forests behind us.

Wow. mr. Bong. Thats beautiful. I LOVE clematis. I have a purple one on each side of my entranceway also and this year I am going to have black eyed susies climbing up with them. I have a hanging basket with the same type of yellow as the black eyed susies so it is going to look good.:blsmoke::peace:

I have buds out on some of my clematis but none that have opened yet. I am probably a zone behind you but I am getting excited about mine now.

Those are lovely pics. I am just surprised that you have clematis and take care of them. And that you would take pics and show them to me.

Awwwwww.......

I have many clematis on the property that I have planted and they are just starting to come up now.
I dug up my supposed climbing roses. I was sold them a few years ago but they are not for this zone so they just don't flower all the up but die back every year.
It just wasn't want I wanted.

The alpine clematis is the only one that is starting to flower but many are starting to get buds on them.

My climatis is growing like crazy too. I just picked up a new one called Nelly Moser, it has white and pink flowers, I have it in with a purple one. I can't wait to see it all in bloom. I have so much coming out now, the anenomies (how ever you spell it, lol) have spread everywhere, same with my columbine, lol. I actually ripped some out, lol. Don't you just love flowers?:peace:

Nelly Moser is beautiful. I have two of them I love them so much. Yes they are a subtle blush pink and creamy white. They are one of the few clematis that will grow well in the shade.
I'll take pics of mine when she opens.

My Asao is starting to flower now and my alpine clematis ois covered in flowers.

I love growing just about everything. I just can't do the tomato thing this year because it becomes too much work. I love having fresh veggies in the summer and autumn though. It totally rocks to pick and eat them fresh and cook with them.
I even love having some fresh herbs on my deck for when I am cooking. it makes such a difference.

I am so glad the growing season is here. I just really miss growing my weed.
