First off thank you to everyone, I have been reading for months now, tons of great information out here for sure.

My setup -

Jardin DR120Twin
I took to top off and set it up on a table, not enough head room or I would of bought I taller tent
In each tent I have a T5 4' 8 bulb setup 6500K
Can Filter with a 8" can -fan hooked up to speedometer - btw it works just fine
The can filter is hooked to a T so both tents are being dealt with
I also have a 6" max-fan variable speed, not in use as of yet
Both tents of course have bottom inlets that are sucking in fresh air

I have 15 bag seeds for my first grow, I thought it best to start out with free seeds, this way if or when something goes wrong I won't cry to much. All the seeds germinated fine and are in small pots, thus far all is well.

Nuts - I am using Simply Path David's Grow steps 1 - 3, I have, only using step 1 now, of course PH Up and Down, I bought a cheap digital PH Tester

I am growing in COCO with Rice Hulls, local store said go this way, so I did.

When I move the plants into the tall tent I will be using smart pots as well.

I have ordered seeds and they have arrived, I am ready for a real grow, still going to wait and make sure I fully understand what is going on.

Any and all advise is more than welcome, you folks know what your doing, I certainly only know what I read.

Question is, pots \ planters, only being a 4x4 tent what size smart pots would be recommended, of course I understand 1 gal > 1 foot, see I did read.

wow you have been paying attention haven't you! Arent those fucken dr 120's the sexiest shits? aw man ive had mine since 2008 and I will NEVER look back! I have a single dr 120 that I use 10 gallon smart pots in. I tend to try for at least a 4-6 week vegetative process under the blue 6500k t-5's then (im a 600kooltube lover still yep wont go leds yet nope!) I enjoy 4-5 plants getting adecent size in those pots. I would recommend lots of aeration space between the canopy's of your ladies. Also a uv bulb in there couldn't hurt as a supplemental light during flowering, like a reptile uv light you'd use in an aquarium.:bigjoint: Top dress with worm castings has been an ideal way for me to always make sure the plants are getting something when I feed weekly with straight water. I have been using pro-mix adding a good amount of perlite to that (in a small kiddy pool with respirators also) then adding whatever amendments I want to that soil batch in an effort to keep using that soil continuously for as many grows as I can.

Welcome to the forum buddy.

I transplant from solo cups to Geopots: 1 gal, 3 gal, and 5 gal (1 week before flipping to 12/12). Really up to you on container size based on space and how many females you end up with at flower time. I ran four 5 gal Geopots and one 3 gal on my last grow in a 2'X3' closet. You can get a lot of container into a small space. Details on my grow and what I use are at the sig down below.

Good luck,

My first grow I listened to much to my local store, they suggested I start in 1 gal buckets, although this is fine, I do have more than enough room, it has been a pain at best keeping an eye on them. The DR120T I am using the top of it for the babies, oh well live and learn, read and learn. Thus far I am having a blast. Nothing bettter than coming home from work and smoking with the babies.

Thanks again to everyone, definitely if one takes the time to read what's out here I believe you have a fighting chance at this. If not I will grow tomatoes.

Thank you everyone, I certainly appreciate the kind words, my thoughts are that I do not mind the initial investment at all, I certainly would like a return on it.

I am off to water and feed the babies, it certianly is a awesome thing to watch them grow up, I can only imagine the near future when they become a tasty treat.

Some pics of what is going on, the bigger of the babies is me learning to clone, I have a rather large Hermi I have been playing with, figured it is a good a sacrificial plant to learn on.
The pic with the T and duct work in it is – Can-Filter with an 8” Can-Fan hooked up to a speed buddy which sucks the smell, I just do not have the room in the tent to put that Can-Filter in. I know it is a large filter for what I have going on now, I figured one can never have enough filter, never big enough, to small can smell.

I also took a pic of the nuts I am using, there are 3 steps to the Simply Path, I am using 2 of them as of now. Of course there are plenty of additional nuts within the Simply Path line that I am sure I will use when that time come.

In the small tent I have 15 or so babies going, all of which are doing fine, no real signs of oh shit, yet that is.

I have each tent on a separate timer, the babies are cooking 20\4, no real reason for that timing schedule, so many different opinions I have read, I figured 20\4 sounds good. The big tent is 12\12, seeing what the big ass Hermi turns out like. For now I have no other purpose for the tent, why not grow a Hermi and play with something that I just do not care about. If I kill it so be it, better to kill a Hermi than a lady.

Sorry, I only took one pic of the babies, as of now they more or less all look the same, small, green and upright, no yellow, no burn marks.

My newbie advise to other newbies, shutup and read. :bigjoint:Ok that may be harsh.

Quick question, fans in the tents, do I keep them on 24\0 or do I put them on the same schedule as the lights?

Thanks

I use a T5 for clones and love it. The 4ft high output model with 6500k bulbs in it is amazing. I'm actually running an experiment right now to do a whole run under it with supplemental t8s and t12s on the sides for support but I have a 400 watt i normally use for veg and flower. Good luck mate

Do you run all 6500K's up until you change your light cycle to 12/12? There is allot of opinions as to weather to run all 6500K until flower and then of course a change is needed. Other say put a mix of the bulbs in each fixture. I have two four fixtures, each hold 8 bulbs.

Also another fluorescent bulb

It's been a month now, all plants are doing very well, they have been topped or fimed and lst is under way now. Most of the babies are about the size of my hand now and no signs of being unhappy.
