I’m using coco and currently in 1L pots stepping them up into 5l and working my way to 18l. I’m under leds and I use a root stimulator for the first few weeks of veg with canna a and b. And add green sensation 3rd week of flower. Someone’s mentioned using sea weed and molasses. I’m hoping to get super dense buds. Just hoping it stays cool and can keep room environment perfect. Any info on when to use seaweed and molasses and at what does would be great thanks

Why do you want to add molasses? Molasses is used to feed the microorganisms in soil. It's not going to do anything in coco.
The plants use the carbohydrates directly as well as it providing some micronutrients.

careful with mollasses you can yellow your crop very easily with it. Honestly it's more trouble than help. Also too much sugar and the plant will cut back photosynthesis. Not good.

Ya just look up the proper dosing and go light. It's not gonna be a night and day thing. also make sure to double check the Ph of your feed and run off when using molassss as it can drop the PH in your medium.

The seaweed extract I actually expect to help as it's supposed to act like a plant growth regulator.

What do you think the molasses is going to do? It's not going to sweeten up the buds or make them swell up or anything. You would be best off to not include it.

It seems like molasses has become another calmag. Something people use without understanding why they're using it. Just because you heard about someone else using something doesn't mean it's necessary or is going to provide any noticeable benefit. I'm of the belief that the less you use to grow healthy happy plants the better. If you add anything you should understand why and what any possible benefits are.

Don't grow based on hype. Grow based on science.

Good luck with your grow. :peace:

Thanks for the advise. What stage would u add them in? Also will it make much difference adding this to my feed overall?

I was just going off what my friend says he uses and that’s what he said he used. And I’ve seen his results and it looks 10/10

3rd or 4th week of flower once the girls are in business. But honestly as the other user xtsho mentioned above it's not really adding much to your plant. Like if the food you are feeding them already has all the micros then basically all you are doing is adding sugar and paying for more shit. I tried it and personally didn't find a great benefit VS not using it. If anything I had less problems after cessation.

obviously I won't discourage you from trying yourself. Give it a shot. But don't expect miracles.

Thanks for that maybe I will give it a miss. Is it the same with using the sea weed. I asked at the local grow shop how I get my weed super dense like u see on Instagram lol. He mentioned using both of these

Seaweed extract actually has some science behind it. Like it has a natural plant growth regulator in it.
I think you spray foliar.

Works on soy beans. Lol

The way to get super dense flowers is to grow the right strain, keep the plants healthy from start to finish, provide plenty of light, and not stress them environmentally. Do that and molasses, seaweed, anything else short of PGR's is not going to make any difference.

Good buds come from happy healthy plants that grew in a good environment with plenty of light. Invest in lighting not bottles of stuff. The lights will last for years but you have to keep buying bottles that don't even work. More light and healthy plants is the best thing you can do to achieve your goal of super dense buds.

Is it worth using PGRs? I’ve brought some decent leds not long ago. Lumitec 600w Zeus pro. I’ve had great success with a platinum gelato strain lately is there any u recommend and also a seed bank? Thanks

Are you serious? NO IT"S NOT WORTH USING PGR"S!!!

I don't know much about that light but it should be plenty for a 4x4 or 5x5 considering what you payed for it.

I’m pretty new I guess but isn’t there science to back the use of molasses and seaweed lol? Im Obviously talking about organic gardening. And even with coco and EWC the medium will benefit from both of those ingredients. Obviously everything in moderation but yes know why you’re adding something and don’t just add because someone said it’s a “game changer” etc haha

Well your first post you said you were growing in coco. Now it's coco and EWC. Anything else?

People at the grow shop are there to help you spend your money not help you grow better.

You don't need any additives to grow better weed. You need a quality light, quality nutrients, and proper care of your plants. That's it.

I didn’t make a post in this thread I don’t think? I’m just saying that it’s obviously important to tell people it’s not going to sweeten your buds haha. But saying molasses or seaweed won’t do anything seems false. If there’s any kind of microbial life in the medium it will benefit them. Now like I said I’m new so I don’t know if JUST coco and continuous feedings of organic seaweed crap is enough to get the medium going and able to benefit from the molasses, maybe you do though. And obviously if someone’s dumping a bunch of synthetic crap in there then the molasses isn’t doing shit I don’t believe and there zero microbial life hahah. Just thinking out loud to try and learn sorry lol!
