Water and spider mites

I have had a problem with spider mites. My stuff is indoors but they get a nice ocean breeze everyday and sun and so bugs get in easily. The ladybugs I have control everything except spider mites. I've been spraying my plants (in flowering stage) with distilled water several times a day. If I do this, they stay away. If I miss two days, they come back. I read somewhere NOT to mist the flower room. Not sure why. I have to and I haven't noticed any negative effects. Anyone have an opinion on water in the flower room?

My buds don't get really dense. I'm not sure why. They're pretty fluffy. Also, I have a huge amount of ocean breeze pouring into the room. They get plenty of airflow.

I don't want to spray anything on my plants that has chemicals in it. I tried water with just a few drops of soap and it burned my poor babies.

bamectin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Abamectin is a mixture of avermectins containing more than 80% avermectin B1a and less than 20% avermectin B1b . These two components, B1a and B1b have very similar biological and toxicological properties. The avermectins are insecticidal or anthelmintic compounds derived from the soil bacterium Streptomyces avermitilis. Abamectin is a natural fermentation product of this bacterium. Abamectin is used to control insect and mite pests of a range of agronomic, fruit, vegetable and ornamental crops, and it is used by homeowners for control of fire ants. Abamectin is also used as a veterinary antihelmintic. Resistance to abamectin based antihelmintics, although a growing problem, is not as common as to other classes of veterinary antihelmintics.
Abamectin is also known as Avermectin B1 and MK-936. Trade names include Abba, Affirm, Agri-Mek, Avid, Dynamec, Vertimec and Zephyr.

You make a good point. I guess I'm bordering on becoming one of those weirdos. And I can't do anything right now that's why I've been thinking about giving up my new hobby.

speak for yourself. I was a sex machine once I got over my religious brainwashing. I certainly have had my share of trial and error. I just had no idea how much I would get into it and then have the cute decorative plant idea turn into 100 plants including all kinds of clones that I did until I had to give up my bedroom! I just didn't expect all the hours! (PS, I'm a chick not a bro)

Any pyrethrum-based product . . . I use one called "Eight" . . . it's used on crops up to harvest day and can be used 6-8 times per season. Non-toxic to man nor beast, after it dries.
If you spray, you'll want to repeat the process in 2-3 weeks to ensure you've gotten the eggs.
I don't think I'd spray this stuff on almost ripe buds, simply because it does have an aroma when wet. If I had an infestation at that late point, I'd probably try water curing?
