Water distiller

Does anybody here use a water distiller? My tap water is unusable due to a high 920 ppm. A distiller is half the cost of an RO filter and it will make 1 gallon of water in 3 to 4 hours depending on which model you buy. Which would be perfect for me because I'm doing a rdwc and my res in only 5 gallons. If anybody has been using one please let me know what you think about it because I'm thinking about buying one today.

If you've never heard of one before is a link to some on eBay.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

before you drop 100 bucks on a distiller I'd give one of those brita tap filters a shot... you'll get thousands of gallons and it filters out tons of fine particles and chlorine. my ladies seem to love it :weed:

those filters don't knock down the ppm's much. Most add stuff back in. If your not makeing booze a still is ez to make.
