Water from a creek?

my spot is by a big creek that runs off a major river, would it be safe to water with water from a creek, there is no algae or anything in the water.:leaf::wall:

I just noticed you are from the same state as me so let me rephrase my answer to your question, the creek would be fine as long as your creek is not the creek that I will be using lol. Northeast lower peninsula here.

im going to do the same thing this summer. what about mixing nutrients with the river/creek water?

What if the water is from a standing pond, and the water is kinda funky. Can you use that water? And can you mix nutes with the standing pond water?:peace:

i use alot of pond water and it works great. no problems here. my pond is not the cleanest but its far from nasty just to give you an idea. one thing i would wory o=about with ponds is the sourse of water if its run off from a farmers field i would question it. as farmers use alot of pestisides and chemical ferts for certain plants.
