Water level for soil transplant and seedling how to question.

Purple Diesel after 1 week since moving from soil to DWC. Don't know where the water level should be for this situation.
The 1 inch below info I hear aboutmust be for when they already have roots reaching down into water, I put about an inch of clay pellets and then what seemed like too big of a clump of roots and the covered the rest of the way up to where the cube this clone came in should sit.
How high up should the water cover the bottom of my net cup? This plant we bought had the cube which is not rockwool-not sure but like a foam which holds this clone and that is staying damp. Maybe one would want to lower water until it barely keeps the cube wet. What about the clump of roots about 1 inch from the bottom, is that an issue too..

if your roots are fairly close to the bottom, leave a bit of an air gap and the bubbles breaking on the surface should provide all the moisture they need.

probably want to change out that clear tubing too

yes about an inch off the bottom of the net cup.
changed to RO water which i should have used before, went easy on nutrients and the water level is grazing bottom net cup.
also raised the air stones up to dangle a couple inches below pot.
its nor recirculating any water just pumping air. Do they still need to be clear.

The clear air line tubing can let light in your rez and next post you'll be making will be about root rot.
