from someone who is sure: are water droplets on seedling leaves beneficial other than for the passive purpose of strengthening stems? I can't decide if the droplets act as a magnifier for light, or a reflector. If they do serve as a magnifier, is the light they magnify just the human visible portion, or is it the "radiated" part that plants like? Another way to ask the question is, in nature, do plants try to hold on to their dew droplets for light magnification, or would they prefer them to roll off asap?
