Water source

I live in the mountains and I'm trying to grow for personal use, indoors. about a few miles up the road from me is a natural spring everyone in the area gets their drinking water from. It runs down from the side of a mountain to a station that was set up for everyone to use. It just flows 24/7. I was wondering if this would make a great water source for my plants? Would be loaded with minerals and such.

I am also adding my own nutrients. I was just wondering if the spring water would be beneficial?

I know of people with wells, and that water is great for their plants, so I don't know why spring water would not, but like AK said, check it first just to be on the safe side.
