water temp 71 + dutchmaster zone & white shark?

How can i leave my reservoir in 1 spot for 8 weeks (1x res change per wk) and prevent any growth while maintaining a water temperature of 71 degrees?

Is 71 degrees too high? I have a shiz-ton of air and the temp holds steady at 71. I was told by a friend to use dutchmaster zone and keep a bottle of whiteshark handy and i will be okay with those temps. Do anyone have any information on what these 2 products actually do specifically? I understand the general idea, but id still like to know more..

I have a diy scrog cab, and i plan to flower for 8 weeks when i grow. So, between cleanings my reservoirs will be locked down for that entire time which has led to a few concerns but i know its possible.

A better and cheaper alternative is botanicare hydroguard and pondzyme. They provide essential bacteria that eat the bad stuff. I haven't washed a res in 8months.

Hey man! When I read the title of your thread, it caught my attention as:

DM Zone kills EVERYthing in your res (aside from your plant) and keeps it clean. That is the route to go if you want everything sterile.
BUT, you cannot use the Great White with the ZONE as the ZONE will kill it! Great White has beneficial microbes, and you would be wasting your money.
Personally, I use EWC tea. The microbes outgrow anything that you do not want, and will eventually eat it. Then, I add Hygrozyme to (supposedly) eat up all of the decaying organic matter to keep my reservoir nice and clean. The water is brown, but that is my nutrient solution and microbes at work.
The reservoirs smell like FRESH mushrooms, or nice loamy Moss. Mmmmmm
