Water temps...what should they be??

Just what is says folks. When you grow hydro, what should the water temperature be? Nutes will lock up if the roots are too cold, no? Would it be the same in soil? Thanks ahead of time!

I would shoot for 68-72

yea 69 ideal ! too warm very bad root rot

OK, thanks. What about the lowest temps before the nutes start to get locked out? Anyone know or have this problem?

I'm not sure, I think around 61, but a tank heater is only about $20. You can set it to te temp you want, that way you do not have to deal with problems from temp fluxuations

Add H2O2 to your tank, and it can act as a buffer if tempuratures go a little higher then wanted, plus it adds algae protection to your system.

How much do you need to add in say 8 gallons in a 18 gallon container and i heard this will kill some of the good nutes is this true or not?

35% @ 1.7ml per Gallon every 3-4days. That's what I do at least, keeps the dr. away in the root zone!

do not use h202, unless you know for sure that your nutrients are 100% chemical, h202 will kill off bacteria in organic nutes. As with Canna nutes, it sepecifically says not to use with H202
