Dr. Amber, your recirculation ring is working perfectly fine. The Broken toilet sound is normal. I think it looks like we are doing roughly the same system only I'm a little farther along then you . And it does look like your float is positioned correctly. So no worries there. I guess you'll figure out pretty quick if it isn't. But I thought I would join the club. This is my first hydro and the single bucket worked so well for me I bought the 8 pack with the recirculation kit and I look forward to use that next go round. The 21st of October is when I switched her from veg to bloom. Hopefully I'll be cutting down just before Christmas. This thing is a jungle. Aside from my P.H. being a little high in the res. It's been going great for me.

I have a Female Seeds C99 vegging from seed. I will clone her tomorrow for the first time.
My new waterfarm controller is assembled but not yet connected to the system. I have not tried it out yet. It was good to see a video of your trial.
I have 4 other waterfarms vegging. 3 with Bluehash clones and 1 with a brand new sprout of White label Northern Lights. I will start 12/12 in about 2 or 3 weeks.This pic was taken Oct 18. They all come down tomorrow at day 54. They could use a week more but I need to leave for vacation.

Why are your lights diagonal like that indian Joker?OMG I just figured it out.. I thought that was ONE plant. you are a tricky joker aren't you! lol.. that's 2 plants.totally wicked growing dude! beautiful big bush.!
ive got one more week vegging my alien and then ill set up my recirculation rez.its all ready to go. im so excited about my alien rock candy, its got excellent reviews .

Hello to all. Very nice to see all your farms in action. I have 4 farms vegging right now and will start some on 12/12 next week.

Vegging has been slow because the temps dropped while I was on vacation. Vegging has picked up since I got the temps back up to the 70s.

I am very excited to see my biggest Bluehash flower. It will be the biggest plant I will ever have grown since I have never vegged this long.
I had to double up on the screen posts for her since she grew too tall before I could get the screen on.

Been absent for a while so come to the reservoir discussion a little late. I've posted these pics before, but decided they belonged here.. I love my standard WF, but I can never leave a good thing alone, so my first thoughts were that a larger container for the roots would be a good thing.. Then I got the bright idea that a reservoir would be a nice addition to it... So two 12 gal ice chests were pressed into service...
Then I still couldn't leave it alone, and decided to go with a 5 gal size.... So I bought a couple 5 gal igloo coolers.. One to grow in, one for the reservoir... Half inch PVC and 4 clamps gave me a built in scrog screen without having to weld with the 5 gal igloos.... I like the idea of being able to move the plant after it's in the screen.
I still use the pumping column... A stand pipe is used in the reserviors... It lets me drop in the pumping column, and pull it out for cleaning... A 1-1/2" standpipe in the 12 gal reservoir allows 3 pumping columns to be used.., 3/4 inch fittings would be better than the 1/2 that were used...

ps.... Forgot to say that the stand pipes need support like the one in the basket. I cut them from the bottom of a 5 gal bucket.. A float in the 12gal reservoir will feed water from another container on top of it to keep the water just an inch or so below the grow bucket in the ice chest... The igloo reservoir is meant to be replenished daily by hand without another container and float to keep the level constant.... When using a basket I found that the roots start coming out when they reach the first holes in the side of the basket... To far from the water to do well... I plan on covering all the holes in the side of the basket, except for the last two 2 inches.... Ice in bottles can be used to keep temps down in summer..

I have been experimenting with using the recirculating reservior, but my problem with it is it is so hard to keep all the waterfarms on the same level for it to work. They all have to be on the same level plane. Also, running tubing between waterfarms is problematic if the grow space keeps changing.

For now, I needed to come up with a solution to keep the farm running for a few days between fillings.

Here is what I have and I will put it into production tomorrow. It is 19 gallons. But I am not sure how much it will store if only filled to the farm fill line. There is no drain yet. I am thinking I will just use a siphon to empty it.

very innovative ideas for the farm, mYtee and x.man... x man are you keeping all 3 of those waterfarms in that small tent? I see your issues with height. Without sufficient room, running more then one waterfarm in a 4 by 4 tent can get pretty cramped pretty quickly from my personal experience. I have tried several times and will No longer attempt it. I also use a siphon to empty the last bit of food from the very bottom of my buckets for my full rez change. Just can get the last bit of water out through the blue tube..,and with the clay pebbles there always seems to be a bit of dirt I need to clean out . Everything is going just peachy for me right now. My blue connector tubing is getting pretty dirty , so I will take it apart next complete rez change. And im ready to add my other 13 gallon back up rez holder to my recirculating rez since she is eating so much these dayz.PEACE OUT FARMERZ! HAPPY HOLIDAZE

i like how you tie your plants up like christmas trees as a way of supporting side branches. When do you tie them?? during veg? beginning of flower? after stretch? after nugs start sagging?

I just LOVE those Totes! Same ones I used to build MY New System! I cant wait to see how your MEGA-WaterFarm is gonna Do! WooHoo!

Here are the pics of the farms. Bluehash is in Day 3 of flower. I doubled up on the screen.
I am only going to have 1 farm in that tent during flowering. I will probably mount another screen to support the colas if they get heavy (I hope they do).
The rez took 10 Gallons when filled to the fill line. It was so heavy, I didn't realize how much 10 Gallons would weigh.

I also have the naked tent for the Northern Lights. It seemed the easiest option to keep a light over the plant without having a tent heat up with a 400w MH in it.
Will veg for another 2 weeks? maybe 3? not sure since it is much slower than the Bluehash.
