Waterfarm System.

panessa
are you starting from seed or clones?

and how many plants are u planning to grow?just the 8 or more?

Im only going to have room for 8 buckets in my flowering room, and I'll be starting some clones and some seeds this next try.

So, yea, I'll only be able to flower 8 plants at a time.

thats cool
i am still vegging my plants

hopefully within a month i can trasnplant some clones to the system too.
i will be flowering under 1000w hps

The buckets, tubing, and pumps came in...so I taped off an area the same size as my flowering room and starting putting it together....I bought one 8 valve air pump, and (2) 4 valve dual-diaphragm air pumps for the waterfarm kits...I put air stones in every bucket....now to wait for the net pots to come in.

btdt. Its pretty much exactly how I pictured it, going to shorten up the tubing once I actually get it in the room.. what do you think?

So, its only been two months. But I figured I'd update now that I have it all together and running. Been about 4 days now, they are loving it. Can't wait to let them get huge. :)

btdt: Thanks again for all your help bro, I basically stole your design.

how time flies,so good start,do you just have the 5 buckets working and is this the 4rth day of flowering,i sure liked your ebb and flow journal.

yea, I originally planned for 8, but I only had 6 plants in my veg room...so I figured I'd try to make room for more buckets as needed....but those 5 plants from the last grow produced enough to last us for a month and a half..it was alittle over a pound dry...once I can get it timed right...I may not need more than 6 in flower. I'm thinking about a journal...except I didn't take a single picture of them for the month and a half they were in veg....so it'd be a flowering-only journal.....good idea/bad idea?

Who has taken a waterfarm system through full harvest? This system has worked great from the start and eay to use. The only thing I did different was added another 5 gallon bucket in line with a shut off vavle to add my nuts with, and to try and hel keep a stable PPM. But now that I am in Flowering stage full on. The root mass has gotten so huge inside the system, that it is eating up volume inside the bucket with the root ball. And she is drinking water like crazy. so the PPM is getting very hard to control. I now have a third bucket, with just straight ph'd water connected. just to lower the ppm level. this happens a lot. I just took my monster off a 24 full load of just straight ph'd water. Now she is is a regular nut soup. I am finding this system to be very difficult and a lot of work right in the finishing stage. All the way until now I was in love.

Any suggestions or tricks. please bring them on. But, please have them first hand. Not my buddy told me type thing. I have the end result of much work hanging right now.

I last thing guys. I have connected an extra 5 gallons for just one plant. You guys are thinking about joining in 20 gallons for 8 plants. I think that system will go like a roller coaster ride also in the last 2-3 weeks.

I am going back to my 3'X3' flood and drain, after this. But I am building a new system that is in design right now. this system should be very economical and both build and nutrients and light use also.

you see those pics of giant rootballs,it makes you think it will drink alot,as well it looks like there would be no room for air bubbler.but that comes from massive growth i guess.

My very first grow was in a stealth hydro tub, by the time I cut them down, that entire res was full of rootballs, tubes were clogged, airstones were in the middle of rootballs, I don't mind adding water on a daily basis, in fact if theres not that much work to do with them...i just go sit, trim and talk to them for a while. I'll keep an eye on them, maybe get alittle proactive about moving the airstones, and moving roots away from the water intake...and see what happens...on paper this is my favorite setup....hope I don't scrap it after this grow.

I do not see any pictures of massive rootballs. But then again, I do not need to. All I need to do is go lift my plant up so I can see my root ball. Also, I know it eats a lot of water. I make sure it is full at night. by the time I get home the next day it is very low on water. not long ago, I could go 3-4 days with out adding water. Now it is once a day. Sometimes it gets so low during the day while I am at work, it does not drip very well. So I have had to start adding water above the full line.

Right now, I am useing two 5 gallon buckets with one plant. plus the 5 gallon bucket it sit in.. This plant is massive though. when sitting in the waterfarm, it is 6.5 feet tall. and 3' in dia. at the smallest point, and 4' dia + at the widest. It has three main cola's coming up, easily as big as my fist.

I will get a new camera. Mine is broke right now.

But the roller coaster ride is getting old. I want to get off.

It vegged for about 6 weeks. I did not place it in the waterfarm until It was flowering. There was 8 plants. They were all in a flood and drain. My 3'X3' system. but 7 of the plants turned out male. This is when I desided to place it in this little waterfarm. To save nutrients. I am saving nutrients. But now that I am nearing the end weeks of flowering, It is becomeing more, and more work to keep the ppm leveled out.

Ok, now I have been adding water twice a day. If I do not, it gets so low that it will not feed water to the plant. Still, you should all see this plant. It is an indoor monster. stands 6 1/2' in the water farm system. 3 1/2' Dia. It is being kind of slow to mature though. But the Buds are getting very large. I did some lst with it. I had to, the light is all the way to the ceiling. there are a total of three main colas now. I think this system would do much better with a smaller plant. This thing is just to dam big. The stock is the size of a 50 cent piece.
