Best to water at night or early morning because if you water mid day when its really hot the water will evaporate to fast and wont give the plant all it needs.

Actually, there is the consideration that the fungus that fungus gnats feed on grows best in the dark. But, if you keep surface of your soil broken up the fungus can't form.

Water the pots any time you wish. Just try to be consistent about it. Foliar feeding/watering however....should always be done either with the light off, or when the lights are about to turn off. Otherwise, you'll burn the shit out of your leaves. Sadly, I know this because I made the mistake myself. Hopefully others can learn from it :) Hope this helps!

sorry...not meaning to start a battle but it doesn't matter when you water. and this myth about fungas gnats is just wrong. they generally are more of a nuance than a problem and smashing, changing, tilling the top of your soil is bullshit. look at them coming out of the bottom the pot.

The plants can only up take water during the light cycle Durring the calvin or night cycle the roots shouldn't be so dry that root hairs wither but plants are not trying to take up water alot of hydro grower do not water during the calvin cycle and plants thrive best time water outdoors is early morning .......................... If you put some beer cans out there half emty the slugs will crawl in and die if that doesnt work they dont like epson salt and your plant does in mild
