Watering During Flowering

So when I had my plants in veg and early on in flowering, I would water and then let the soil almost completely dry out (60%?) before watering again.

Is there any benefit or adverse effects from that during flowering? Do buds need more water when they're developing?

No do not overwater just feed them when they need it. Overwatering will suffocate the roots and possibly cause root rot. They also need oxygen not just water.

Right on, I use raised smart pots so I never really worry about over watering. It all just drains out.

I was talking about time between watering and as I type this I figured out that's what you meant by over watering. Thank you.

You don’t want the medium constantly saturated mate. If they were looking healthy in veg with your watering schedule just carry on doing the same.
