Watering: If you read this, imagine my plants are yours.

i have a couple of plants well over a month and they are both in 5 gallon pots, with one plant with a set of 5 and the other plant with 2 sets of 7. it doesnt rain to often here and i usually feed every three days with water diluted with plant food, am i under doing it, or overdoing? (not on food but with water) let me know. imagine you are in my position and they are yours; how would you water? and tips? pointers? ill give rep quick to anyone who helps. thanks

When you water/feed them, make sure you use enough to give at least 10% runoff or so. Pick up the pot after you feed them next time and take note of how heavy it feels. Wait until the pot feels light when you pick it up and then its time to feed/water. You can always put your finger in the soil and it should be dry until a couple inches down or so. With 5g pots about a month old, I highly doubt you would have to water them more than once a week. When they get bigger their uptake needs will increase and you will have to water more often. Good luck man. Watch your plants and be patient. You will learn a lot from your plants in time and they DO tell you what they need.

hell yeah thanks for the advice im excited just to see them go from seedlings to so tall already! nearly 14 inches!!!! haha im so impatient but i know that it will pay off eventually!!

What kind of soil are you in? Makes a big difference. Seems light on the water though. I am feeding mine every day but I'm in coco and pearlite and the plants are big so they are sucking up everything I'm givin em.

5gal pots! Wow thats big! The roots probably not filled or even near filled the pot yet! Water the plant not the pot, a 5gal pot will take a long time to dry out in between waterings. I water every 3/5 days but only give water when the soil is near to being dry, can tell when the pot is very lightweight that it has very little water left in it. 3 days seems a little short, sure the soil is drying? Pics please. Peace

Mine seemed to turn a corner just about where yours are right now and everything kinda smoothed out and they just took off at that point. Watch out for bugs right about now I think they can start smellin the plant and things could get out of hand pretty quick. I just sprayed them with soapy water and that took care of my first round of bugs. Nothing easier or cheaper out there. worked like a champ too. You probably won't kill your plants with your water schedule but the bugs will take em down fast.
Keep an eye on em and you'll be fine. gd luck

HOLY CRAP!!!! I believe you, not arguing with you no way but if I let mine go two days they are showing all kinds of stress. Guess it's the medium eh??

appreciate the tips guys. i dont really water the soil too much but i water the plants and when i pop off the bottom of my cotainer, roots are hangin everywhere already. the soil is always prety much good bc it rains every couple of days and i sprinkle water with nutes on leafs and shit and some on topsoil every three days like i said.;

and i use MG potting soil its my first grow and its doing wonderful i have pics from today if anyone wants to see?

your leaves should spread themselves nice and flat and at a good angle to catch light
they should be a lush and vivid green and maintain a similar coloring throughout
your tips should be healthy and green
your edges should not curl
your plant should grow steadily and not attract pests
your plant should not droop or be yellow or brown anywhere at any time
if your plant more or less fits this bill, then you should continue to do what you are doing

Bottom leaves dying is bad, could be either overwatering or not enough ferts maybe both. In your case it looks like overwatering. I would top these plants to prevent futher stretching. Peace

dammnnitt my friends been tellin me that is natural an they supposed to die and i can juus pluck em or let them fall off into the soil

Yer people get that idea but its not really true. Are you overwatering? Is the soil drying in between waterings i.e. the pot feels light when lifted in the air like it has very little moisture in it? What ferts you been using? dosent look like a fert issue. I would chop its head off. Peace

Yer it looks overwatered, no way that soil dries in three days, bottom leaves look overwatered, let the soil dry out in between waterings.
