so i just moved into a new place and it has in inline water heater! :hump: because of this we can't run untreated water. yes it is the bomb, but what about watering my babies? i've been there for two weeks and do roughly the same thing i did where i just had crazy hard water: mix about a third or half tap water and the other component is RO water. no problems yet, but i would love to hear from people who already have tried running this stuff.

thanks in advance :blsmoke:

oh yeah, i'm running hempys with straight perlite.

I am not a believer on using water softened water. My parents killed off a lot of koi fish by using soft water after they had it installed and koi are not cheap fish.
IMHO, I would rather have to deal with hard water or RO water captured before the water softener. But that is just IMHO.

thanks DH....but this is different than most softened water as it uses potassium instead of sodium. i wouldn't even think of running it with a sodium based system.

Please post your results as time goes by. I have heard of those non salt water softeners but have zero experience with them.
I do mix RO with untreated tap water from time to time with good results. Tap by itself comes out over 600PPM, its some hard shit.

I've been using the softened water @ between 50% and 25% mixed with RO. I seem to be having some lockout issues, though it could be I'm watering my hempys less this go round. I was watering the hempys every other day but they seem to be able to go quite a bit longer than that. ....still wondering about other peeps experiences/thoughts.
