Watering with nutes question.

Hi, I am using a mix of mostly coco with about an inch to 2 inchs of hydroton at the bottom for drainage and am just about to start feeding some nutes to my plants. My question is how much should I be giving at a time. I am using the flora series from genhydro and am thinking about using the lucas formula or using 1/8 stregnth and using all 3. I know that it suggests I use a ration of tablespoons to gallons when adding the mix, however once I have mixed my nutes in the gallon of r/o water how much of it should I be feeding my plants. Obviously not the whole gallon so do I still just give them as much as I think they need? and use the gallon for the whole week? Also my other question is since I am using coco what is the best way to feed, more centalized over top of the plant like right in its zone or all over it, like if i water the outer edges of the 2 gallon pot will the water and nutes travel through the coco to the root location?

Thanks for your help guys:-o

Feed hydro nutes EVERY WATERING. Start with 1/2 str then full str as directed on label. 1/8 is not enough in coco or any other medium for that matter. I use Canna terra vega and flores and don't have to PH which saves a lot of time.

I have the same setup as you and I start feeding 1/2 strength nutes when the first true leaves have formed. Increase to 3/4 after a 2 weeks. Full strength at 4 weeks.
Give the plants enough nute mix for 10% (20% if using tap water) to run out the bottom once a day.
Coco will only hold so much fluid before you get run off, it's really hard to over water.

COCO? Be sure to add a Cal/Mag! Or add some extra dolomite lime to your media!
Coco needs extra Calcium!

Caution on this subject I'd go 1 third of what they reccomend on the bottle, and be ready to flush it out within 12 hours if necessary
