Wattage ? Yield ? Where to look for information

Hello

I have few grows under my belt. From CFL to HPS to LED.

And for past weeks I was thinking about bigger project but one thing is disturbing me. How to predict yield. After reading online about some watt per grams information i can call them bullshit.

Example, under 400W HPS in 3x3 I made approx 300g with a lot of mistakes and 6 plants.
Under 400w LED same size I made approx 450g. And still had some space left. So I started making calculations, and on paper with lowering my yield by 40% per plant but using full space on 7x6 tent with 1400W of LED it should be easy to score 5lbs from a single harvest but still I can’t see anyone to manage it. And I’m looking for an answer, is it that hard ? Is it impossible ? It’s a lot of space and power, with LED that can be spread across tent it’s doable. And I’m talking soil, can someone link me a growlog or something ? Or help me understand why that can’t be done ? In 7x6 you can put 60 pots 2 gallons each, in that pot I am making easily 1.5 oz

Help me understand

It's all about your ability not just gr/watt

I've pulled 13oz of one plant in my 4x4, 460w, with space left over

I've also had 5 plants at about 5 oz each

Environment and ability go hand in hand, so no exact way to predict or calculate the numbers, and the strain plays a huge part as well

Yield determination is affected by too many factors to give you a guess. Each grow room is a laboratory of the unknown with indeterminate factors affecting the outcome.
Besides the basics, of course. Bigger lights = bigger yields, all things being equal.
